Was it hard for me?! Yes. I battled a mean case of head hunger. But it is worth it! Who was your surgeon?

Anyone work in the medical field....
NikkiV1986 replied to kim2002's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm a paramedic and took 4 weeks off due to lifting restrictions. I'm glad I took the time off, since it allowed me to figure our how to eat. I pack my food for the day too. That way I always have something and am not tempted to get something from a gas station. The first couple weeks back were difficult. I felt extremely tired and weak. Once I got back into a routine (and with the weight loss) my energy has sky rocketed. I work out before work and usually have plans after work!! I love it!! Good luck to those waiting to be sleeved!! -
ok, so who am I? I certainly don't know anymore...

Get out of my head!! Minus the anxiety problems you've nailed exactly what I'm feeling. It's been one hell of a ride, but I wouldn't change a thing. Like Laura said, see a counselor. I saw one after some issues came out that made me want to binge eat. It's been a true eye opener. I still look in the mirror and see the 92 pound heavier me. It's not until I take pictures and compare that I see the changes. My mind definitely needs to catch up to my body. This is definitely a process. One step at a time. -
If someone makes it passed the generic "about me" info while getting to know someone then I have no problem telling them. Why would I? This has definitely been a lifestyle change for me. Plus, I don't think I would have a whole lot of fun going out to a big dinner; I can't tell you now many "all you can eat" sushi dates I've turned down. Going to Jamba juice and then the park seem to be a great and active date. I'm sure you'll get a lot of responses. Just do what's comfortable for you!! Good luck!! I have to say, I'm honestly enjoying "dating" different people!!

More inches, less pounds
NikkiV1986 replied to chibabyy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was in the same boat you are when I first started. I think, at least for me, that my 24's were tight before surgery. With the weight loss I was still able to wear my 24's but they either fit correctly or were a little baggy. I'm almost 5 months out and my work pants were a 50" before surgery... Now I'm in a 42 (damn bot pants lol). You'll notice in no time!! -

Four months post op!
NikkiV1986 replied to NikkiV1986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You look great!! I love seeing the changes!! The clothes I wore on the initial picture don't fit at all anymore!! Plus newer, smaller clothes allow me to see the changes better! You could always start taking measurements now!! -
He everyone! Just have a question and need some advice! With summer here, and pool party season in full swing, I need some advice. It seems like every weekend for the next month or so I have a party. Most are pot-luck style with a lot of grazing going on. I am 4 months post op, and am wondering how my fellow sleevers handle themselves in this situation. My problem is not over eating, but grazing. And with having to wait 45 minutes after eating to drink, it seems to be complicating things. Any advice would be great!! . Thanks

Mine said 2 weeks. As long as you haven't had any complications and your incisions are healing then I don't see a problem!

Anyone play soccer? I have my first game tonight's and I am nervous as hell!! I used to play as a kid (maybe 12 years ago). My friend has assured me she as for fun and exercise, and doesn't care if they win or lose... But I still feel like I'll be a weak link. I was sleeved 3 1/2 months ago and am down 70 pounds. With that being said... I still want to lost 110 pounds.... Anyone else play?

I bowled at 4 weeks without any problems. If you are clear for activities I say go for it!!

That was my experience. Liquids don't typically stay in your stomach like food will. But trust me... When you start eating you WILL feel restriction!! Breathe
