Does anyone have any great tasting soup recipes for these stages? I have bought campells cream soups, but we all know homeade tastes better.

Does anyone have some good tasting recipes for these stages after surgery?? My surgery is the19th, would like to make some in advance and possibly freeze.

I have to buy Sketchers, they are comfortable when you put them on, you dont have to break them in. I have tried Nike, Reebok, etc but they all hurt my feet. Good luck

Prinxs, you can make it. Can you have chicken broth made from chicken boullion?? Theres hardly any calories. Ask your dietician, maybe that would help with your salt craving.

Can you have broth, at least its not sweet. Congradulations, how are you feeling?

Thanks for the info. I will look it up. I am doing good with whey protein powder from walmart, not to bad.

I live by Herrin Il. Its about 3 1/2 hours south of Decatur office, but I am having my surgery at Mt Vernon at Crossroads Hosp. I have only had to go to Decatur 1 time on June 1st for psych eval and see dietician, and physical. The 1st time I saw Dr was April 4th, thats when I started all this. It took them 2 months to get mine approved after june 1st appt. I have bcbs of TN, I had to do diet with my family Dr also, that I started on April 5th, and the Dr had to fax monthly diet report to ibc. I did weight watchers online and lost 39 lbs in 4 months. Day 6 of preop diet, I get 1 small meal a day, so its not to bad, I always look forward to that meal, even if its not much.

Tracy, thats great you are at your goal!!!! Do you have problems eating any foods now? I hope I dont have to have a tummy tuck. If you dont mind me asking how many pounds did you lose? Well congradulations, great job!!! Im on day 5 of preop diet, hope im not eating to much on it. Getting pretty nervous.

Hello, im getting banded the 19th. I could not hardly choke down atkins adv. shakes. So I got brave n bought Whey Protein powder from walmart, I mix 1 scoop of it with 1% milk, and a little ice in a blender. Its yummy!!! I got vanilla, its really alot better. Day 3 of my preop diet. 10 more to go. Good luck everyone!!

I just started my preop diet today. I got Atkins shakes but I cannot choke them down. Let me know if you find one thay is tasty. Good luck to you. My surgery is the 19th.

Just try to take a deep breath, and think positive. I talked to a lady that had the surgery a year ago, I asked her how the pain was after surgery, she said that it was mild, not bad at all. Im having surgery on sept 19th. Start preop diet tomarrow. Keep in touch. Maybe we can calm each others nerves. Lol
