  1. Yes I cheated probably 2 or 3 times during the 2 weeks pre op.. Its about shrinking your liver. 2 or 3 times is not going to undo all your hard work during the 39 other liquid protein meals you have...We are only human...GOOD LUCK..

    Post Op Day5

exactly how i felt. i was desperate to just be able to drink something to put my mind at ease.. now i can, i already feel comfortable to try to eat in another week.. Over here in AUS my surgeon wont put fluid in the band until healing has finished. so at least a month after banding until they add fluid to tighten. I. think in the next couple of days you will think the same and will also feel a great difference in your thinking

    Post Op Day5

Know how you feel man. Day 7 of post op today for me and change from day 6 is amazing. I had a lot of swelling after op and could not keep anything down. For the first 6 days could not even sleep at night. Whenever i fell asleep would wake up choking on liquids trapped above band. Even ended up in hospital one night, day 3 on a drip....Started thinking there was something seriously wrong. Yesterday was able to drink maybe 100ml a hour. Got out of bed very early this morning because was fed up with vomiting...I thought stuff it im having a cup of tea even if i vomit it up straight away...To my surprise it didnt come up , and all day have no problem drinking anything...what a RELIEF ! I also thought what have i done ? One day can make a huge difference,,, hang in there..
  4. Thanks Mis73. That will be my next decision if my conditin does not change in the next 12 hours.. Thankyou..
  5. Thanks Jack. You have made me at more ease.. In hospital they gave me ice chips to dissolve and i had no problem. Only when i got home problems started. I only have sipped at fluids and nothing more than 100mls at a time. usually within a few minutes have vomited up with extras. mostly of a white slimy water soloution. I am still feeling healthy so i hope like you say, in the next few days it will be more tolerable. i will put a glass of water in front of me and try too finish it over a hour or so. Thanks for your feed back.
