I have struggled with my weight all of my life. I was a chubby kid, a chubby teenager, and obese young adult. I lost over 200 lbs (in an unhealthy way) when I was 23 and kept most of the weight off for about 6 years. I inched up in weight and size from 135 and a size 6 to a 180ish and a size 12. In 2008 after a bad breakup, a complete change in career, and just a series of life changes I looked down at the scale and saw 230 lbs. Well, I am a Type 1 diabetic and that made it necessary that I go on an insulin pump. While on the pump, I gained an additional 40-50 lbs. On the day of my EGD to test for Hiatal Hernia, I was 284 lbs. I am looking forward to chaning my health and eating habits with the aid of the Lap band. God give me strength!!!!
