Naturally it sucked but no complications.. they treated my pain with mostly morphen sent me home with liquid lowertab antibotics and mega nausea meds which im soo thankful for. Im 3 days post op now still on a clear liquid diet, not so much hungry as the thought of just eating makes me feel like chown down.. Medicaid Coverage

It differs from state to state. I lived in N. Carolina where medicaid did not pay. Moved here to texas and this month will be my last mnth of supervised diet. They require that before approval. You sound like a canidate tho. Definately worth checkin out. What state do u live in?
  14. Just joined this great app today and just figured out how to start a thread. I am currently on medicaid and am going in for my consultation visit next month. I am currently and have been treated and have been on meds for years for depression with anixity as well as problems sleeping. However ive heard you have to have a pysc evaluation before the surgury. Will they deny me because of my mental condition. I want to be open and honest with the doctor but am terribly afraid of being denied. :/ can anyone give any advice? Anyone had the surgery with a mental health problem such as mine?

    Anyone In Tx?

Yea. They know I have medicaid. They said the consul and the surgery are covered. I think 50 dollar fills. They said it takes about 6 mths for some reason. Im just hoping im not on the pre op diet for the whole 6 mths. V- how do u like carcamo? How many times hve u seen him? Are you on the pre op diet yet?

    Treated For Depression/anixity Pre Op??

Thanks ladys As i read the forum i find myself with more questions. For example the pre op diet? How long and how much weight do u generally hve to lose? Second. What exactly is the "green zone" everyone is talking about? Any help?
  22. gina418393

    Approved!!

Ive been seeing alot about the pre op diet. Something about losing 10% of your body weight. And they did say the surgery would be scheduled 6 mths later. So im wondering. Is this true? Do all surgeons require this? Is this what takes the 6 mths?
  23. Thanks for the advice. I started a new thread so maybe others will respond to.
