    Weight Loss

Thanks! I am at my second stall these days. I haven't lost anything since Nov. 20, but it is ok. I just keep on moving. Hopefully it will start up again soon! You just can't worry about it. I am sure my body is just making some changes.

What's Your Current Band And Fill Size?

There are two brands and surgeons typically select what size for each patient or have preference to size and brand. They are designed a tad bit different. You can Goggle them by brand and see them.

Is This It Or Could I Be Too Tight

Glad you listened to your body. You have to be able to eat dense protein or you will not make it. You shouldn't be drinking your protein anymore either if you are several months out. You have to be able to eat normal food. Happy you went in!

    One week post op.

The hiatal hernia repair makes the pain hang on a little longer. Go without a bra for a couple days and that will help! You may have that tired feeling for a month. Let your body heal. Drink lots of water and walk for short periods of time a lot, like every hour. Start adding a powder fiber to your water and a stool softener. You are not eating fiber like you used to. You have just freaked your body out. Best wishes!
  5. Sounds too filled to me. Try liquids only for another day, then mushies. Don't forget that you guys have to be able to tolerate dense protein or you are too tight. Make sure you do liquids a couple days after your fill. Hope you feel better soon!

    Weight Loss

Glad you are tracking already. Track your exercise too, it also helps to hold you accountable for that. Exercise is very important with the band. But, don't think you are going o come out of the ate full throttle. It will take six weeks to recuperate so you can exercise, but don't overdue it. Listen to your doctor and NUT. They all have different plans too! I am ten months out, 135 lbs down. It is really slowing down my last 30 pounds, but I will get there and so will you. Ills are diff for everyone too, I have only had one. Never hungry. Good luck. There are a lot of good people here to help you.
  11. The little jealousy demonds always come out. Just remind him how much better you are going to feel and that you will be able to do so much more with him since he is already fit. Ask him if he wants you to be healthy too! It's not just the spouse that gets jealous either. Your friends will come around. Keep up the good work!
  12. The water is hard. Carry a glass with you wherever you go. Flavor it if you need to. I still have a glass with me at all times. Everyone I work with is used to it now. My husband says, you taking that in the store? I say yes!

    My Fitness Pal ?

You can edit total calories and change your weigh in from the APP but you do have to edit the more specific things like protein and carb limits from a computer. I usually do that at work since I never go on my computer at home! Love the program though. I am Brinksm on MFP.
  14. 10 months, 3 days but not counting!

    What To Drink?

Try different shakes or buy the Syntrax unflavored nectar powder protein. You can mix it in your crystal light. If you find something you can tolerate, it will be much easier.

How Many Calories Do You Take In A Day

My dr and NUT says only eat when hungry. I eat under 600 calories a day. Two meals with one snack. I started out with 3 meals a day and they said your body will tell you when to eat so listen to it. I have been for about 6 months now. It was hard making the change and getting off a "schedule." talk to your dr and NUT as everyone is different. It also matters how much you are exercising. I do 1 to 1 1/2 hours every day.

Be Honest- Is Banded Life Hard?

Destynee, I was doing the same thing to keep my protein and calorie numbers up. My NUT told me to quit. She said only eat when hungry and just make good choices when you eat. Since I have listened to her I quit having stalls and am down 135 in 10 months (this week). I have 30 more to go and am really waiting for that big stall. It was slower this week because I ate a lot during Thanksgiving, but lost the pound I gained already this week. The band is so fickle! Have a really good talk with your NUT they really can help.

    Glad you are feeling better!

    First Weigh In! :)

That is exactly what my NUT says and I follow that. Make sure you get your lab work done very 3-4 months for at least the first year. It will change based on what you are eating. My vit A was low last time because I was eating all green veggies. She added sweet potatoes, spinach, and beans to boost my Vit A up. Keep up the good work!

    Quick Question?

Vanessa, love that you are listening to your body! I have only had one fill and am 10 months out. It is a lot of head games too so listen to your body. I did not feel like I needed one at all, but my dr wanted me to have something in my band because your stomach changes as you lose weight. Good luck to you!

    First Weigh In! :)

I have been obsessed with the scale since day one! It is ok as long as you know things will go up and down and you will have stalls. I picked Monday as my official weigh in day so that is the day I count. Great work!

    Apples And Oranges

For me it depends on the kind of apple. I can eat sliced Gala, but only a couple slices. The NUT says orange fiber is really good for you. Don't get too tight that you can't eat things that are good for you. That is why my doctor doesn't fill until six weeks out. Your body is healed and you are now learning to eat normal food. I know a lot of our bodies change so you need to keep a diary of what does and doesn't work for you.
