    Water

I was never a water drinker so I always mix my water with something! I usually keep a pitcher of Crystal Light lemonade in the fridge and add a little peach tea or strawberry watermelon Mio to my glass before I pour the lemonade in. Try to mix it up so I am not drinking the same thing every day. I also add powder fiber to my water. I do think that the more water you drink the less hungry you are or become.
  3. Walk as much as you can. Try to get up every hour and walk. That will really help with the gas pain.

Reviews on which lotion to use

I have used firming lotions now since two months post op. My skin feels awesome, but still sag a lot in my arms, legs and stomach. I lost 155 pounds. I will still want plastics, just have to find the money. I don't think any lotion will solve the problem. I think it is luck of the genetics and age when you have lost a lot.

    worried

I doubt you have stretched your stomach. It is also a mind game and you need to work on training your brain. Follow the rules on eating and drinking, log and weigh or measure your food. It takes a while to break old habits and to get our head on track with when you really need to eat! Keep yourself occupied with other things in place of eating, your head will catch up! It took me a couple months to really figure out when I was truly hungry and not head hungry. Now I am very rarely hungry. Don't forget to exercise. MyFitnessPal.com helped me to find what burned the most calories. I figured if I was going to work out I was going to get the most of it!
  8. Who did you decide to go with? I see Dr Uchal at St Vincents and love him.

Starting over, 5 years after surgery

I lost 155 lbs and it will be 14 months next week. Everyone does lose at a diff rate and their drs/nut have different plans. I have had one fill. I ate 500-600 calories a day and exercised to burn that much each day. Now that I am at goal I am trying to eat a little more 750 calories and I still exercise each day. I am preparing for hip replacement so have to do some required exercise each day for pre-op. My nut always and still does say only eat when hungry. That your body will tell you when it needs fuel. Learning to get over the head hunger and lifelong routine of eating set meal times was very hard.

    Surgery Scheduled for March

Phxgirl, just keep sipping as much as you can. You don't want to get dehydrated. Are you able to have protein drinks yet? Just drink all the time. S F popcicles are good too. Hang in there.

    Surgery Scheduled for March

ISIK, if you have lost 14 pounds in two weeks post op and you don't feel hungry all the time, I would say don't get a fill yet. Dont get fills if you dont need them. Not everyone needs them. Your dr will be pleased! That is great!

Abbie, that is normal. We are used to eating more and that is why it is so important to measure and pay attention to how you feel after eating. You may be lucky like me and stay full a lot. Good luck!

Happy Birthday Tammy! You can do it! Others, what happened to the only eat when hungry. My nut said throw the scheduled meals out the door if you are still trying to lose. Eat healthy and only when hungry. Worked for me. Maybe try something different.

Chrissy, I hope the fill helps, but if you are too tight to eat in the morning I would not get another fill. I would look at other things, like drinking more water evaluate you food, log it, and get your exercise in. To me the exercise is my success. Expending as many calories as I was taking in while trying to lose. I hope you can get back to where you want to be. This has been a sad week for me already. Received one of those early morning phone calls Monday am to hear that a friend of mine died Sunday while stationed overseas. I set up a memorial today for those of us here in the states to reflect on his life. A very stressful time and I have found myself hitting the secretaries candy jar at work. I have logged it all and have kept my exercise up. This too will pass. Hope everyone is well. Tell your friends and family that you love them. Life is too short.

Sorry men i need to ask

My nut had me do something last time I was in her office and it was from one of the Oprah shows. You take a chip, a peanut and a piece of chocolate. Most things people like to snack on. Then take each one separately, pick up the item and smell it, ask yourself if it smells good, then touch it to your lips with you eyes closed, then put it in your mouth and just let it sit in your mouth for a couple minutes without chewing it. What does it feel like, what does it taste like. It is supposed to help you really decide if it is worth the crave, calories or even if it tastes good. I can tell you that I hated the peanut and I do not eat them alone as a snack anymore! Also I hated the potato chip, nasty texture and flavor, the only thing good was the chocolate. And I. Do not deprive myself of the chocolate, but savor it and then you find you don't pop a bunch of them into your mouth! It is amazing what things taste like when you actually smell them, feel the texture and enjoy the taste and not woof it down. The video uses a raisin instead of peanut. Go to Oprah.com and search Geneen Rot's raisin, chip and chocolate exercise. Www.Oprah.com/spirit/Geneen-roths-raisin-chip-and-chocolate-exercise

Keep plugging away Nicki! Once you get in a routine it will become easier. It took me several months. Now that I have lost all my weight my whole focus has changed and I am enjoying things a little more, but still logging everything and keeping the treatsnas small as possible. Still protein first and veggies. Keep your eye on the prize! For some reason I am a lot better on the weekends then I am at work. I munch more at work then at home.

    I just wanna potty!!!

You may find that you need to be on a stool softener and fiber powder every day. I add a non flavored powder fiber to my water every day. You don't even know it is there, but you do know when you forget. You should be regular, but you will need help to get that way because we are now eating so much protein and pretty much no fiber.

    Breakfast Ideas

I usually don't eat breakfast, but have started since I am now trying to maintain. Celery with Peanut Butter and raisins Oatmeal with raisins One egg, turkey sausage, and half slice of wheat toast Half a harvest nut pancake with blueberries and one egg
  23. I had the same concerns as I am allergic to nickel and latex. I have been banded almost 14 months and no problems here!

    Pop Tart Alternative!

I agreed until I saw they have no nutritional value.
  25. It was to first be under 300, then 200, then in wonderland, then get rid of CPAP machine, then my original goal of 180. I have now met them all in 14 months. Now my goals are to get my hip replaced, maintain or lose 5 more pounds, and to get back on the tennis courts after surgery.
