Most of my life I have been thin, never had to count calories, was always smaller than my friends. Well, along came my forties and "Pooooof", not think any longer. The problem with being thin all your life is that the fat person in mirror looking back, couldn't be me. I'm the thin one; the one who can eat whatever, whenever; who fit into all those small sizes. But that fat person in the mirror is me. It took a long time for this to sink in and I had an "awakening" while on vacation last week. We were up in Blue Ridge, GA. DH, son, inlaws. We were all going on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad and the photographer on the train took a family group picture. When I saw myself in that picture, I truly wanted to ask "Who's the really large woman?" Needless to say we didn't buy that picture. After my inlaws headed back home from visiting with us, I started researching. Hubby does not need to lose as much as I do, but he is determined also.
