I'm happy to know that. I thought something was wrong with my band. But I'm glad to I'm know this is normal.

I had my surgery done 3 mths ago. My last fill was 3 weeks ago and I finally noticed restriction. However, the day before yesterday I noticed I could suddenly eat quite a bit more than I had been eating. I thought maybe it was normal for that to happen from time to time but yesterday all day the same thing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner I was able to eat almost as normal as usual before the fill. What could this be? Did it slip? Is it leaking? Is this normal?

I'm from Miami and got the band done 6 weeks ago. I got my first filling this Thursday however, I can eat just as much as before. I have anxiety and it makes me wanna eat so that's what I do. I've suffered from anxiety all my life and figure this would help. So far I feel discouraged. I haven't started working out yet because I have been working 60 hr weeks so I'm exhausted. Also, I'm guilty of making poor foods choices. Anyone have any pointers? I have to make this work.

Finally, Got Stuck And So Happy!

You know, I got on this site hoping to get answers from people just like me but instead of feeling comfortable, I am afraid of being honest or feeling like I am going to be judged if I make a mistake, ask a stupid question or make a comment about my experience so far with the band. Let's take this post for example, she says she is happy she got stuck and people act like she has lost her mind instead of educating her in a nicer way. She said she was eating tacos and she is made to feel like she committed a sin. She says she is going 70mph and suddenly the post is fake. Let's get real, if we are on here is because we all overate, ate the wrong things more frequently than not and probably didn't do much exercise so to make someone feel bad about their choices or comments is pretty hypocritical to me. It's not what you say more than how you deliver your message. We are here to motivate and support each other not repremand or judge each other. P.S: this is not meant for "all" who posted on here, only for some as well as others in other posts I've read. -
It's been 2 mths since I got my surgery however, I noticed that at the site of the port, I constantly get bruising. It goes away then comes back. Is that normal and will it eventually stop coming back?

Thank you to all who have replied to my post. I'm glad to know I'm not alone on this and there is hope. Not to mention the great input I've received. I'm glad I found this site and posted as I am feeling motivated already. -
That sounds delicious. Thank you so much for your input. It definitely gives me hope. I work in an office so exercise, even if only walking for 30 mins isnt possible. I should be back to normal hrs in about 2 weeks so ill be able to get some exercise in. I'm def trying your recipe and try the low carb thing.

6 Weeks In And No Success :'(

I agree. But that's why I got the band, because its so hard to control myself. But I know I have to put in more of an effort. I guess I just expected an overnight result like when ppl get the gastric sleeve or the bypass. But I'm hopeful! -

I'm so glad I read this because I feel the same way. I'm 6 weeks in and can eat like normal even after my first fill. I hope to notice a difference soon. I feel bad about it. If it were that easy to make the right choices or limit what you eat then none of us would be in this forum. You are my silver lining in this gray cloud. Good luck to all of us.
