I think losing parents is so difficult.... So celebrate him as it sounds as if you're doing.... It I'll make you all feel better.

Thoughts & prayers with you my dear! It is a very hard thing to watch our parents deteriorate before our eyes!
My dad died 10 y ago and my mom is 85 with a ton of health issues. It's really tough!

Ya know what? I really like the music idea. This might sound crazy, but now that I think about it, I've always found music by Pink Floyd to be very soothing & relaxing. I'm going to have to do this..

I think everyone kinda gets lost at one point or another. I mean, that's how we got here in the first place. The band is a lifestyle change, and we need to make a conscious effort to help use our tool the right way every day.
I hear that unfills can easily lead us back to our old ways where we eat more, because we're just hungrier. Keep exercising & just watch what you eat.
Hang in there. We're all here to support each other throughout this incredible journey!!

When I'm really stressed I put on really soothing music and lay with my eyes close and concentrate on deep breathing. It does help!
I'm really sorry you are dealing with something so painful!
Pre banding my granddaughter was in the hospital , life & death for 10 mths and I gained 100 lbs. I hope when I have to face something like that again, I will have better coping skills, or see a professional.

This will be my first Thanksgiving. Currently, I would not even be able to finish what you ate above. But, I think it's because I might be a little too tight. Aything I eat or drink, gets very uncomfortable very quickly. I cant even drink as much as I should. I feel it right in my chest too. Have a Dr apt tomorrow afternoon, so we'll see.
Anyway, I look forward to this Thanskgiving, to be with my entire family, and hopefully... just hopefully, someone will notice that I've lost about 36 pds.

It takes time to really get it, and yes .25 can make a big difference and it makes you wonder how. The band can be very fickle by nature and it has a mind of its own, I still have days when I never feel that stuck feeling and than like this morning, every bite I took was a struggle for the first 10 min until my band decided to cooperate and I have not had a fill since the end of Jan. Just focus on the small bites and chewing and wishing you continued success.

hehe thats great!! Since I don't have a fill at all in my band yet, I often worry about how small does small bites mean. lol.. I try to eat slow and take small bites but wow it's so hard to do! I guess I'll find out soon enough! get my fill on the nov 28th.. eep! i'm excited though!

I just have to keep telling myself that people aren't as focused on me changing as much as I am. And that men are dumb. Happy Losing!

Oh my gosh, I've got the same allergy. Who would have known it was such a common ailment? LOL
I like the idea of using a bathroom on another floor, but we only have 2 floors right now. In May, our new office building will have 4. Of course, I'll be on the 2nd floor again, but great idea to go up & down the stairs.
