Just a short note for those inquiring why I hurt & am on pain meds...IT IS PART GROWING OLDER & PART HEREDITY. I have cervical stenosis & will be having 3-4 of my neck vertebrae fused in the next few months. Causes severe pain/numbness in neck & arms & migraine headaches. Also just found out this week I have spondylosis in my lumbar spine which is how the neck started. VERY FRUSTRATING to not be able to do much of anything. Just this is bring tears to my eyes. Just a word of encouragement about your cervical spine.......I had a 4 level ACDF on 2/14/2013. The collar was inconvenient for six weeks, but all of the numbness and pain stoped immediately. I am so glad I had it done. I get lumbar epidural injections every 3-4 months from the pain clinic at the hospital. The spine surgeon wants to put off surgery as long as possible because he and my primary and the pain specialist all believe that losing weight will ease that problem. The general conse...
