I love, love, love mine, too! I've been really putting my mind to it. My daily goal is 4500, but I've been busting 6k most days. Yesterday I had 20,000 steps. I find it so motivating. Are you on Facebook? I think we can be Nike+ friends then, too. I used to use the little thingamabob that you put in your shoe, and it talked to your Nano or ipod. That was strictly for tracking running, though. I got my lapband August 30, and I'm down about 20 pounds. I've used this time to just heal and learn how to eat with the band. Now I need to get goal oriented. I want to be at my goal of 140 by my one year surgery anniversary date. Some people use the Body Buddy, but you have to pay a monthly fee to download your info, which turned me off. Plus, I don't think it is designed to be worn around the clock like the Fuelband. I haven't heard of a FitBit. The Fuelband is Water resistant, so I can take a shower with it on, or dance in the rain. Laura

Oh, good! They're very nice. Not especially cheap, but probably about the norm for this area. They also do a body analysis that tells you % body fat, bone density, lean muslce mass, etc. I was afraid I didn't have enough restriction, and went back a bout a week later at no charge. I'm pretty tight right now, but that's where I want to be for now. Laura

Looking For Detailed Stories From Anyone Who Has Been To Mexico For Lapband With Dr. Alamaza

I had my surgery Aug. 30 with Dr. Almanza for $4,000. It was super easy, no problems. They were very sterile and professional, and I was only out for about 30 minutes. They pick you up at the SD airport and drop you back off there. You don't really leave the hospital, unless you elect to stay in a hotel, and then they drive you there, too. In other words, you aren't running around TJ loosey goosey shopping or anything, so yu aren't really exposed to danger. I live in Orange, CA, so I drove myself to the airport and back, and found a good Dr. in Huntington Beach to do the fill. I had minimal pain or even side effects. Laura -

Hey, what's your secret? Do tell! I must admit you've put a fire under my butt. My boyfrined says tell her to stop shiowing off...Happy New Year!

Hey guys - I got a Nike Fuelband for Christmas. For the uninitiated, it tracks movement throughout my day. Does anyone out have one of these or any other Nike+ product? My bracelet uplaods to my phone and web, and I was hoping to find some friends to challenge. Happy New Year, and best of luck everyone! Laura

Wow! You've dropped a ton! I'm down about 20 pounds. That priofile picture is old - more of a where-I-want-to-be. I wish I was down that much. I haven't been putting heart and soul into it - I've been operating on more of an eat less of whatever I want system. Give yourself a big pat on the back!

I just got the new Zumba for Wii, but they make it for Kinnect, too. It's a pretty awsome workout. You get a hip belt that holds the remote, and measures the hip shaking on the richter scale, and then awards you points. I just want to look like Gwen Stefani from...well, head to toe. Oh, different subject, but I also just got a scale that measures body fat, bone density, lean muscle mass and all kinds of stuff. Tres cool!

Has "hunger" Changed For You Since Banding?
whitedobe replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've heard that said before. I have two flavors of Isopur, and they both have 50 grams of protein. Curious. -
Thanks, guys! I went back Thursday, and he put more Fluid in my band. I may be a tiny bit overfilled, but I'm just figuring this thing out one step at a time. I'm going to hang tight for now and let everything settle down. So glad to have support. Laura

Me! Me! Me! I just got my first fill today, and I can already tell there isn't going to be any restriction. I'm supposed to be on Clear liquids. I had my fill about noon today. He said he put 2 ml in my 4 cc band (what's the difference between a cc and a ml?), but I don't feel any restriction at all. I'm not very good at following direction when I'm not having any symptoms of restriction. I ate some soft serve frozen yogurt, a few bites of steak, some dry Cereal, a plum. I can drink anything and as much as I want, and it looks like food is not going to be a problem either. I just paid him $350 today because I'm a new patient, and follow up fills are $165. I'm pretty bummed. Laura

Well, I am feeling a little jealous! I just got my first fill today, and I can't feel any difference. I'm supposed to be on clears for 24 hours, but I can just tell I can eat just fine. I ate some frozen soft serve yogurt, and a few other things without a problem. I can drink anything hot or cold, just like before. I have a 4 cc band, and he said he put 2 cc's in, which should have given me good restriction. I'm going to be so bummed if I have to turnaound and go back right away, especially if I have to pay him $165. Boo hoo. Laura
