Am I The Only One Who Started To Hate The Taste Of Water?
quitaboo1 replied to SweetSaso's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was the same way with water. I think a lot of us couldn't tolerate water right after surgery. I was the complete opposite room temperature drinks felt better for me. I'm not sure why it's so hard to drink water, but I must say one day, about a week or a week and a half out, suddenly I could drink water perfectly fine, no matter what the temp was. I don't think ice cold water is bad for you. I drank my tea ice cold in the beginning. -
Well my surgery was on oct 18, and my dr gave me a prescription for Prilosec and the are capsules, I take them just fine. He also said if I couldn't take the just open them up and sprinkle in some applesauce.

My surgery was 18th and although I feel pretty good, I can not drink the shakes either..I was really worried about not getting any protein in, but i was told just try and concentrate on not getting dehydrated. Yesterday something just changed and I was able to drink plain water, before i could not tolerate it maybe i will try a shake again tomorrow. And i am with you on the energy..it doesnt last very long.

Ok well my goal for today is to definitely try to get protein in...I havent been able to since i got out the hospital on Friday. I have been living off of watermelon. For some reason I cant bring myself to drink the shakes, which I was perfectly fine drinking before, Its like the thought of it makes me nauseaus. Well let the day begin

I am sorry to hear that. All I can say is when she told me she was submitting mine...she did. Maybe it takes a few days for your insurance company to have information on it. -

I totally understand why you are feeling they are rude. I cant deal with one particular person in there. Thank heavens there was another person in the office I could have handle my paperwork. Im trying to keep in mind that he is a good surgeon. If it wasnt for that I would probably go somewhere else. -
