Mother of 4 with a host of medical issues: asthma, Celiac Disease, OSA, osteopenia, GERD, hypoglycemia, low thyroid, IBS, the list is long. I've struggled with my weight for 20 years following a NORPLANT (birth control implant). This is NOT baby weight (after twins I weighed 128lbs) I swear I don't eat that much or too many "bad" foods and now the closer I get to surgery the more worried I am that this is a medication or medical issue and NOT a food issue. My worst fear is having this done and then NOTHING happens with my weight. So far this is my journey: Dietician x4 visits, pre-surgery meetings x4, counseling x3, I've researched this procedure since January and am hoping to get my surgery date today (8/9). Then the real excitement can begin. :)
