Never heard of that before. Did you get it from your surgeon? I will definitely have to see if that's an option for me. Thank you for the suggestion.

    Day 3 Post Op

Jealous to hear you guys doing so much better than me. I'm 4 days post op. Thankfully no gas pains but can definitely hear the gas in my stomach. I tried quitting pain meds yesterday, only made it 10 hours before I couldn't do it anymore. Wish you all the best on your journeys. Can't wait to hear more post op stories.

    Worried Post....

Wow that long? Glad to know its not just me and I ripped something. Thank you for the post Jason.
  6. I had my surgery on aug 21st and am struggling to drink water. Before surgery I was a huge water drinker and now I can barely sip water without pain. Any suggestions to make this better, or when I can expect to be able to drink without pain??

    Getting Vsg At 22

They have me those too, and that's what I drank out of at the hospital. That's where I discovered my struggle to drink my water.

    Getting Vsg At 22

Definitely not alone. Took someone's advice of using a straw to help get in my water. Using it with small sips and seems to be helping a lot. Just remember the small sips part. Must say I am a little light headed today, hoping its nothing abnormal.

    Toleraring Water

Thank you for your suggestion. I will definitely try using a straw. I know I don't want to get dehydrated and end up back in the hospital.

    Getting Vsg At 22

I'm feeling ok, could definitely be worse. My right side and 2 of my incisions are pretty painful. But as long as in relaxing (laying in bed or sitting down) in ok.

    Getting Vsg At 22

I had surgery on the 21st and came home yesterday. Havent had any issues with wanting food. My struggle so far is being able to drink water like I used to before sugary. I love water and only being able to sip it is not working for me.

I'm 2 days post op, surgery was on the 21st. Only think I'm allowed to have is clear liquids. I was a huge huge water drinker before surgery and am having trouble just sipping on water now, which is really really hard for me. Tried Popsicles today and did alright with those.

    Egd Nervous!

That was my biggest fear too, but after I saw how easy and harmless it was it was a huge huge relief. And now I'm not even nervous for the big surgery. It really helped calm my fears. I have a week till surgery and still not nervous. Fullest full of excitement. I hope it can do the same for you.

    Egd Nervous!

I was crazy nervous. The thing I was most nervous about was the being put to sleep. I had never been put to sleep before. I even cried as they wheeled me into the room. But I look at it now and just laugh at myself. They took me back to the room and had me lay on my left side and stick this thing in my mouth to keep it open and that was the last thing I remembered. Crazy easy procedure. They said I could be pretty loopy from the anesthesia and my throat might be sore, but I was perfectly normal afterwards and had no pain. You'll do great, we just psych ourselves up and that's the worst part.

    August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

I'm on day 3 too, but find myself fighting the urges while I'm at work and find it easier while I'm at home. From what people have told me, the first 3 days are the hardest, then from there its a breeze. Totally understand the venting, my friends hear it from me.
