Pictures of Terry Evans (sascijo)
Debra replied to sascijo's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow, Terry! You and your daughter both look great! You do NOT look 211! Best of luck to your continued success! And yes, that bartender was DEFINATELY flirting! -
Hey, has anyone heard from Michelle? I responded to her post about me, then PM'd her. Her box was full, so I emailed her. This was a few days ago. Nothing. I just tried to PM her again and her box is still full!! She's only banded a little over a month, and I'm worried about her! Shellybelly, where are you?!?!?!?!
-
Maureen, I have no words of wisdom for you (thankfully the other ladies did!), but I just wanted to say my prayers are with you! Take some deep breaths, really work on relaxing. The 3rd will prob tell a lot, no use worrying until you know something concrete! Best wishes to you!
-
Hi Lucy! I was banded on the 19th and we are at the same weight right now! How tall are you? I'm 5'51/2". It's amazing how everyday we feel so much better, isn't it! I too had a great surgeon, and a great hospital experience! Tina, a heating pad and some liquid tylenol take care of those incisions! Take care ladies!

Happy Birthday, Babs! Hey, maybe your weekend splurge will burst you right out of your plateau! Do a search, there are some great threads on this board re: plateau! But really, you are doing great! Stick with your goals!
-
Darcy When I read that you had gone out to breakfast w/ your hubby, I thought you were going to say that he "toasted" you. I read on, all about your having toast, and how wonderful the toast was, and how much you enjoyed the toast. Then, I got to the end, and wondered "Where was the beautiful toast he made?" Duh? OK I need some solid foods for me! My brain in turning to mush ... and I'm not even allowed to eat mush yet! Ha! So happy you are doing so well! I think if we're going to be band twins, you should have to wait for me to eat food ... even if you are the older twin! Oh, all right! Just don't over-enjoy it!
-
In a different thread, Penni made reference to naming her band "Betsy". I'm wondering if anyone else has named their band? I'm thinking I'll call mine "Portia" !
-
You still there, Girl? Meet me in the chat room, 'eh?
-
WoooHoooo! Good for you! hey, start planning that skimpy Halloween costume for next year!!
-
Lis, I'm so sorry. I guess I really hit that nail hard! Sounds like you really love Chris, thou. Have you considered counseling? How long have you been married? Funny, I'd love it if my Chris ever acted the tiniest bit jealous! Guess the grass "always looks" greener, 'eh? I'm not sure I agree that if someone acts jealous it's 'cos they are guilty. Low self-esteem, insecurities, maybe. This will definately get worse as the "inner you" emerges. I wouldn't wait to address it. Just my 2 cents! Best wishes to you! I have a feeling this board will start hopping w/ similar "marriage blues" as we all get closer to goal.

Teresa! I love it! Since pre-surgery diet, my Portia is up to 10 lbs! and she's gaining steadily! Can't wait 'till she's "big" enuf to send off to college!

Before and After pics so far
Debra replied to Penni60's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow Penni! Great job! It's great to see what 42 lbs. like! Keep posting! I can't wait to have some "after" pics! -
Wow. good thread! I told my family, my husband's immediate family, my kids and a few close friends. I've been blessed to have total support and no nay-sayers! My mom-in-law has been talking to her friends and family and "gathering info" - thankfully she's getting good reports! But it makes me wonder if all these people know it's me she's asking for! I've stressed that I don't want everyone to know. The Fridaya before my Monday surgery, we went to costco. I was loading up on Propel, Gatorade, etc, and frozen dinners so I wouldn't have to cook right away. All of a sudden my husband throws a 12 pack of danishes in the cart. I LOVE DANISH! Ususally I would eat 8 or 9 of the pack myself. I just left the pack on the kitchen table and it was still there the next day; so I just said, Listen, I'm on my pre-surgery diet, I can't eat those, and I can't even go near those, please make them disappear! He did, some got frozen, some eaten, I don't know, but they're gone! I guess my point is ... speak up! We have to tell the people around us what we need. Michelle, what a great kid! My 12 yo son decided to tease me by offering me a bite of his cookie. I took it ... licked it ... and handed it back! He won't do that again! Ha! Lisa, I think your hubby is scared. You are a beautiful woman and as you lose weight you are becoming more beautiful. Men will start to look at you differently. This is something all our husbands are going to have to deal with. Thank God for all the true support here! You all rock, Ladies! (and the few gentlemen we have here, too!)

Happy Birthday Leatha!! And what a great gift you have given to yourself! I hope this year brings you great joy and great health!!
-
Penni! So glad you are back and so CHEERUL! Hopefully you are truly feeling great and it's not just the drugs!! LOL! Seriously, I'm so glad everything turned out so well! I wanna hold Dr. Billy's haaand, I wanna hold his hand! Don't say that Darcy, she'll never wash her port site again!
-
Ha Marie! You crack me up! This was my "free gift w/ purchase!" Yes, Leatha, this is heavy enuf to act as a cough/support pillow, too! Nothing can help when I sneeze, thou! Owww! Feeling tons better today!
-
Yes, a warm fuzzy bear! Actually, a fleece outer bear, cute little paws & ears, and then inside is a bag of whole corn kernals that go in the microwave for 2 minutes. Warm fuzzy bear! From my surgeon the morning after surgery! Made me feel special!! Actually, I've seen them online, but these were made especally for Dr. Deol. I've been totally impressed with her from day one! Very professional, but personal too! I've been blessed!
-
OK, you drew me out of my hermitage, now WHERE ARE YOU?? Hope you are still feeling fine! How's the mush? I'm counting on you for great "mush" recipes!!
-
Hi All! Much better today. I did call my doc this morning and she said that the CO2 often aggrevates fibroids or endometriosis, that it would go away. I can resume "the pill" this Sunday and that should help a lot. I think the numbness was just me not moving my large body for 8 hours! I am having trouble in my arm from the heprin shots, but I guess that is normal too. Somehow, just knowing the pain is normal cuts it right in half!! DeLarla, my surgeon gave me a Bari Bear and so I'm always using heat! It is so sweet. New Hope ... owwww. that sounds bad! No nothing like that here, and the hospital was wonderful! Thanks again, hope to be posting regularly soon!
-
OK, here I am! Thank you all very much for the good wishes, the worries, and the song! I'm still having mucho pain. Funny, all my incision sites are beautiful (well...) and there is just some pain at my port incision (to my left of belly button) But my real pain is in between belly button and port incision, and down. Maybe aggravated a fibroid??? DOn't know, but it hurts so much to move that I wake up w/ my legs numb and tingeling from not moving! It was hard to get all my liquids in, I'm doing much better with that today. I thought I would cheer myself up a little and step on the scale after 3 days of liquids ... I gained a pound! LOL That's what I get for peeking! Thanks again, now I'm gonna walk then go back to bed!
