Trying To Advance Too Quickly
Scotty75 replied to Scotty75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get the message, I'm finding it difficult. I'm trying -
Confession....... I had 2 slices of garlic bread with spaghetti Bol sauce......... I only chewed on it for a sec then spat it out, I just needed real food! It's been so long since I've had real food..... Struggling a bit....... Need to start actually eating. Feel a bit better today otherwise! See dr on fri hopefully go on to next stage..... Scotty

Thanks everyone, taste is no big deal to me (within reason lol) just thought I'd get all nutrients I needed n a size that's right. I'll give it a try n see how I go after first app with surgeon fri. I did have a acupuncturist ages ago who fixed it first go, she moved and since have tried 3 or 4 others who charge a fortune but don't fix the problem. I'll keep looking

Hi all, it's my 1 week surgerversary !!! Yay!!! I've been having a real crook shoulder which I hurt before surgery, been taking endone that I got for pain from surgeon! Went and had accupuncture today but it didn't quite fix it. Been feeling real lethargic and a bit spacey. Just wanted to know if anyone did baby food for purée n mushee stage, seems ideal to me, lil jar, good for u, protein n carbs.

Hi all, spent night in my own bed cant beat it did sleep more than 2 hrs at a time so woke up a bit dry... For me there has been almost no pain and the only discomfort was hiccups. I am now getting ready for the rest of my life, I even bought a triathlon book we'll see how long that'll take lol. Talk to u all later. Scotty

Hi all, thanks for the support. It's been pretty smooth sailing except for the damned hiccups. Been sleeping lots, surprisingly not hungry. Can't wait to be out of here. Check in tomoz

Thanks Kel Just started my fasting for op, it's all happening now!!! Life starts now Scotty
-
The end of the old and start of the beginning are very close but geeeezzzz I hate having all this temptation around me. sleep is a good way of avoiding food but cant do that at 7pm with the kids. I only have 5 more sleeps till beginning starts........Getting sick of veges and salad and Opti. Although I must say that Opti hasnt been as bad as I thought it would. The hard part is avoiding all the temptation around me. Havent had a rum in this preop stage and would love to kick back and relax with a rummmmmm. This is just my rant for the day, I am good , I am strong, not long now. Scotty

1 week in to preop and the hunger has settled but the temptation is killing me. I seem to notice so much yummy food that I used to probably just walk past ( or just eat cause I could) and its a struggle. Good news is only 1 week to go. Another positive note I've lost 4kgs since doing preop I am sooooo looking forward to getting this op and living life again, I've put a lot of my life on hold till I get this op. I had a lil melting moment at work the other day when I split my pants and nearly bawled like a lil schoolgirl. Life is gunna be sooooo good. Anyhoo enuf of my rant. Lila ur doing great it must be a relief to b free from hospital!!! Thanks everyone for the positive comments and Monday is My Day...... Scotty

The Beck Diet Solution is a book recommended to me cause I put on Facebook I was about to start a diet ( preop). I started reading it anyway and it's actually pretty good . It's all about training the brain! Just thought I'd throw it out there it might help someone!

Lila sounds like your going full steam ahead asking questions about liquids, oh how uve progressed....lol. Must be good to start the real journey rocky road at the start but your on the right track now. Kayargh- I know exactly how u feel with the running bizzo, I was training heaps for my fight and couldnt lose any weight, training 2 and 3 times a day at times, then as soon as I stopped it started piling on. For a big boy I could keep up with the fit guys and then some. With the weight off I am going to be unstoppable...lol Anyhoo its day 3 and I got through it pretty well, still a lot of temptation everywhere but I am strong. Scotty

Thanks everyone, Im allowed as much salad and veges as I want of the list but when im at work I only get what i take or its chips and coke...lol. No i havent been near the chip machine, I am just trying to pace myself at work and get a good balance. This is day 2 and I had my blood tests for the op so going straight to bed early last night made it a bit easier with the fasting and not worrying about food. On another note Im starting to get a lot of questions why Im taking so much time off sick at work and have tried the hernia story but geez there nosey, they were also asking why I was on opti etc etc. Im not a good liar. Even my MIL was asking why I am having so much time of for a hernia and she asked my wife what sort of hernia it was ( I didnt know there was more than 1 lol) she is a nurse. Oh the joys.....I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and im heading towards that losers bench. Scotty

Today is day 1 opti and let's just say I struggled big time. I have 2 weeks of thisssss! I am looking at the big picture, I came home from work had dinner and straight into bed to curb temptation.

Hi all, thought i would drop in and say hi. Ive been thinking (worrying) bout the loose skin bizzo and was wondering if anyone has tried the compression clothes to help hold it all in while your losing weight?? I know liposuction people (lol) have to wear compression garments to help with the loose skin, anyhoo im gunna give it a go with the haemoroid cream and see if it helps. I am prepared to be a guniea pig Lila your getting through this day by day hopefully soon it will be a distant memory. ok chat soon Scotty
