Yes you really put your foot in your mouth, and gave your wife a kick too. I was in great shape when I was 18 too, after having three kids I put on the wieght. My husband never said anything like that to me. She is going to have to do it on her time she will some day. but when you said that I bet she thinks you don't like her body anymore. My husband is very thin. He knows how you can get hurt by names too, but from the end of being really thin. We have been married for 27 years and love each other for the way we are. But I'm the one that wants a band. He is behind me all the way.

Lori, I think when you feel really good about yourself that is the right size. I was a size 10 and Lg top , height 5'8 before I had all my kids.

Really bad things happen alot. Try to make your brother happy. Do you talk to your brother any? Hope so.

How do you FEEL during the lap band experience?
sandy-sue replied to Hope4Life's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure what happens with the port (where you get a fill) Does it stick out of your side ? Can you see it ?? Or is it just under you skin?? -
Hi, It is all up to you and no one else. It took me two years before I made my own mind up. No one really knows how you really feel inside about yourself. I thought I could it on my own with eating less food etc.. Than of course everyone says just eat litte amounts. But you see how people look at you or you think they are looking at you when you eat. Or try to sit in a lawn chair wondering if it's going to brake or not. My kids are growing up now I'm 44 now with the same man for 26 years 4-11. That is nice that he has stayed with me. At 18 my weight was 156 now it's 256. You need to make your own mind up GOOG LUCK

I heard from my friend that was banded that you do get drunker faster but you don't stay drunk like before banded. That sounded funny to me when she told me that wouldn't it be in your blood liver etc, maybe because you can't hold that much????????? Julie

Hi, I had my gall bladder taken out the pains you are talkinig about sounds like mine was. My right side hurt really bad felt like I had gas bad, couldn't move that well, heartburn. Maybe you should tell your doctor. My Insur it states that if I need gall bladder taken out that the lapband could be done same time. I would get it checked out you wouldn't to be put back under after you just had your lapband done. Good luck Julie
