Thank you. I know the person who did the vsg 3 months ago and she said that pain is manageable, but when I told her coworker ( he was with her at the hospital after the surgery) that I want to do what she has he was in shock and ask me if I want to be in such a pain. So I assume we are forgetting the pain because we have better outcome but our people who saw us in pain cannot forget it .

NYC has whole food store I think around 23rd street. and they have healthy food to eat. See if you are near by. I I would say go with soup. it would be better then anything else.

Hi, you look amazing to me. the number 22 to 8 sound unbelievable to me. But base on your weight and height I would go to 160lb. so 10 more lbs. Again this is only my opinion because I has the same height as you are ( but more weight) and I think that 160 is the biggest number I want to loose. If I can do it to 148 It would be IDEAL.

you already lost 51lbs. So just find your picture before surgery and put it in the place where you will see most of the day. and believe me it is motivated. you don't want to be like that again.

I just started my journey and already hit the wall with understanding. My parents still have no idea but I will tell them later on. ( before surgery) my sister support me but I think she scared of that surgery. one of my Friend is very supported and help me another trying to talk me out of it. so I end up saying that I still doing research and not sure if I will do it. this way I will listen less comments... and all of that only after 1st appointment. what would be before surgery.... I think I will end up keep it quiet until surgery is over and after that I might share.

Congratulation and Thank you for sharing this story. For us who just started this roller coaster it is important understand that IT IS POSSIBLE and we will not have all that weight back. I think the second is the most bothering question I have. Would I be able to keep low weight after surgery

Do you have a problem with setting up the appointments? for pulmonary and cardio clerances? I decided to do in much in advance ( as I thought) and I end up with first available in mid September.... WOW If I knew I could do it 2 weeks before.... Today is my Psych appointment so will share with you after I would be back. P.S. Just get back from my Psych evaluation. It wasn't scared as I think it would My next step is NUT.

Girl, I am a coffee lover. would I be allowed to drink coffee after surgery? Coffee for me like gas-x for some people. and also I get the energy boost from coffee as well. But I am talking about good brewed coffee with caffeine not the decaf one. Thank you.

I had general anesthesia only once before but I had bad memories. I remember i was cold very very cold and I don't care about anything else except that. and I know I was in post op room twice longer then others patients and 2 days later I ad a fever and they told me that this is my reaction to general Anesthesia. so I am scared of it for my surgery right now. and now I figured out that I need to be sedative for edg as well so I am not sure how to handle that emotionally.

I would say go with August 15th as well. you will ahve a month before starting new job so you would be in better shape. But I react as you are when I went to my appointment and Doctor said we can have a surgery in September I said it is so soon might be October but he smile and said ok 3rd week on September

I think it is actually good that there are few of us in September we can share out post op experience and support each other.

I have that type of scale at home and I never pay attention to the lean mass. always of FAT. but I opened it now and do you know what I saw. my lean mass numbers between 128-140lbs. O MY GOD.... I don't' want even think how many fat I have but I always saw that it is 53-59% of fat. just never really think about it.

I am 277lbs right now ( 5'7"). but I always knew that I have a big ones. so when I check that my normal weight suppose to be 145lbs I just think it is impossible so when I filled out the doctor paper I just decided to go with top range for ideal weight. which is 160. I still not sure that I am ever would be able to go down so far. even on my wedding I weighted 168 after 6 months diet. Looking at you girl sometimes i think that might be it is possible to get 145 but..... dream dream dream.....

I went to the doctor and now I feel stupid because I don't know a lot of thing. WHY we need to make liver smaller in size. I mean what is the reason for pre op diet.
