I have my schedule date September 21 but I really want it to move up a bit but I really doubt. I was told that my Surgeon is booked up for the whole month.

EGD - is endoscopy. and I think most of the doctors are required it.

I think that high blood pressure was the point. the nurse who take my blood pressure said It was 144/82 and it was strange to me because I usually have low blood pressure. when doctor came she check my blood pressure 5 times and couldn't get more then 120/75 and yes I have a bit elevated cholesterol level. ( base on my internal MD comments) EKG was normal. Still I am ready to cry that it might postpone my surgery... -

SkinnyMinnie, I was actually put to sleep. the nurse even said:"Good Night" and I am stubborn person I decided to see how long it will take for me to fall asleep might be 5-10 sec but I notice that they said good night at 3:45pm and when they wake me up it was 3:53pm. so It was quick.

Thank you good explanation, but this is exactly why I did'nt get why I need to go this. I have none of the symptoms for that and I am only 37yo. and no problem with heart ever. I will do this but for me it look like they just want to get money from insurance. -

I am scared as you are so I talk to my NUT and asked if insurance can deny you base on weight loss. and she said usually they don't. but I think I read on this forum that someone was denied. -
I had it last Friday and can tell you it is nothing the hardest point not to eat and drink anything from midnight before endoscopy and your Doctor will talk to you about result right after procedure. the reminder of procedure was the scratch on inner lip probably when they took of that thing to keep mouth open. At least EGD was less stressful then my cardiac clearance appointment today

I was told that vitamin D is coming from sun so if you are not being outside you will have it low.

I didn't have this surgery yet, but I asked my MD why we are not allowed to drive for 1-2 weeks. and he said that. as soon as you off the meds you "could" drive, but the problem is if you get into car accident your have less chances to survive. because stomach will be ruptured and you will have internal bleeding and he is not sure if it would be enough time to get you to the hospital. -

hmm Did you try to go to liquid diet again? Did you discuss it with your doctor? from one point it is only a month and a half from your surgery. What about inches? did you measure yourself? usually then there is a stall the size is decreasing..... -

Sorry I cannot help with your question, I hope it will not be an issue for surgery. after I had my EGD last Friday Doctor said that everything is normal except the Z-line was minimally irritated. and he asked me if I have a heartburn I said yes sometimes. he said that he took biopsy for H pylori to make sure that everything is fine. -

Don't be. I am sure you thought a lot before come with decision to do this surgery. so the date only give us the light at the end of the tunnel. when my doctor gave me the date at my first appointment I freak out too. but now I regret that I didn't ask for earlier date P.S. btw I am a mother of 3 kids as well ( 7 and 3,3) -
Mine was about an hour. He asked me what I know about the surgery and I told him that watch video on youtube and we talk. His major point was get the support group after, go to gym and don't think that surgery will change everything without you working hard. But I really enjoy our conversation. ( no tests at all)
