11 months after Journey began side

Hi there, I am doing great. Thanks for your kind words! My weight loss has slowed down to about 1 pound per week, but, it is still coming off. I have lost a total of 127 pounds and have only about 17 more pounds to go to my goal weight. I had 4 fills over a 4 month period before we found the green zone, but, have had no need to adjust since Feb. With so little to go the Dr. feels like no adjustments are currently necessary. In fact, I won't see him for 6 months now - he already considers me a success. LOL! Congratulations on your success and I wish you much more! -

110lb loss -
I am only 1 year post op, but, have from the very beginning had the tight band syndrom in the morning. My Dr. said many patients experience this and I just try to get a couple of bites in to get the ol' system started. I have found warm drinks help relieve it slightly, but, I know that any real amount of solid food just is not going to happen until about noon. This actually works pretty well for me as I never was much of a morning eater. I have also always experienced some heartburn since I got my band, doesn't sound like I experiene as much as you may. I have shared that with my Dr, and it is something he monitors, but, is of no great concern at this point. I would recommend that you certainly share with your Dr so he/she can monitor. Good Luck with your future efforts. I am only 18 pounds away from my target of 160. These last 18 are much slower than the first 124 pounds, but, I believe I am just a bit more impatient since the first 124 came off so quickly. I can already see that the maintenance phase will be challenging, but, look forward to that transition.

Congratulations on your decision. Your strength, success and kindness will be reflected in your son and that is a gift you receive, deserve and will cherish! I am sure your success will be incredible and fully satisfying!

Interesting! I was, in fact, told the complete opposite concerning the complications and safety facts when comparing the options. By the way, I share your view about changing my body completely which was why I pursued the lapband - even though my BME was 47 - and no, I do not regret my lapband. it has been very simple and easy for me and I have been exceptionally successful. I must warn you however; I have only had it for 1 year this month. But a 126 pound loss in 1 year is nothing to sneeze at and I have had absolutely no issues - other than the embarrassing enlightenments it has brought to my attention concerning my previous bad habits - I had NOOOO idea of how I was always sabatoging myself until I got my little, "Bandy."

Just reached my 1 year anniversary and have mixed feelings. While I am exicted about my 124 pound success I am now able to see just how difficult it is going to be to maintain. While the restriction remains - albeit not as tight as it was 75 punds ago - the old desire is still there to eat more when something tastes soooo good. I was not blind to the fact that would always be with me, but, I am oh sooo feeling i tonight. At least what I am craving more of is the delicious salad I just had...
