It really is working. I did not meet my goal but it was a great week and month. Onederland is right around the corner. Down another pants size woohoo!

    Wow, what a great idea. Guess I need to get out of bed and start before work today. This will get me back on the treadmill. Thank you for the idea and the help. Wishing you all a healthy, happy New Year. We need to walk about 3.5 miles a day. I plan to bulk up on my miles on the weekends when the demands of life are less.

Age~ 45 Date banded~ August 2,2012 Not sure how thankful November is. We were faced with the devastation to the jersey shore by superstore Sandy and now we have snow. Got power back Monday to loose it again last night. Cruel joke Mother Nature is playing on us. Wires across my driveway this morning. Not feeling thankful at this moment.

    Thankful November Challenge

    I know I spoke on here about being frustrated over my stressful week and hurricane sandy and the lack of power at my house. However, I am so grateful to have a house still and a family that are all safe. So many people have lost so much this past week. It is heartbreaking to see. Our community has stepped up to help those in need. One of the local churches has gone above and beyond. I am truly amazed by those suffering the greatest losses have such a positive outlook. God bless all of them. I surely can go without power when I speak to some of them. I have lost nothing in comparison.. Well few pounds this week over the stress, which I do not want back.

To continue on from couch potato to 5K and then move on to 10K Personal goal for November~ to get my Xmas shopping done before vacation Date banded~ August 2,2012 Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~ 45.6 What is your favorite Thanksgiving/November Activity?~ well we always go on vacation after thanksgiving to a warm tropical place. This year is Hawaii. So it is vacation for me and I hope to be in onederland for it. The past week has been extremely challenging. We are dealing with the aftermath of hurricane sandy and are lucky enough to have a home but have no power for 6 days now which means in my house we can't even use the toilet or shower. I have curtailed my stress eating, not sure how but I did it. Exercise is non-existent since the streets are a mess and no power for the treadmill. We are at our wits end. I just want to cry right now. I am exhausted from working so much since I am essential personnel. House is cold so a good nights sleep is not happening. But this too will pass. Thanks for letting me vent.

Was supposed to get my second fill today BUT hurricane Sandy changed that. Wishing all of you a safe day if you are on the eye of the storm.

    30 Pounds?

    As stated, how much you loose will be completely up to how hard you work at this. This is no miracle pill and the weight will fall off. You have to be conscience of what you are putting in your mouth and make sure they are good calories and be sure to exercise. I measure and weigh everything and only go to restaurants that I google to find nutrition information and make best choices for there. I log everything via myfitnesspal. So I started my journey July 22 on pre-op at 256.2, surgery was August 2 with a weight of 245 and as of today I am 216.8. So over the past 14 weeks I am down 39.4 pounds. So your doctor is wrong. I have had only one fill to date on September 11. Next fill is October 29. Could I eat more than I am supposed to, sure I can but I don't because the surery and my choice would be a waste. If you are thinking this requires no work,the you should not do the surgery. There is no quick fix to the weight we have all put on. This is hard work and requires one to follow the rules and do your part of keeping a journal, exercising and making good choices. The band is only a tool, if used improperly the tool will not work. Good luck with your decision.
