  1. I was sleeved on the 10th. 4 days post op and definitely, the 2nd day was the worst thus far. I was up and walking around only 4 hours after my surgery. Took about 3 walks the first day. Stayed in my room the 2nd day, walked around in there for most of the day. Once I got home, it was slightly more difficult. I just have to remember to take small sips and beware of my pills. The zinc has made me sick every time I've taken it, so I'm holding off a couple more days. The upset stomach is slowly disapating. No pain other than the upset stomach. But so far, today has been relatively good. Having regular BMs and burping/passing gas like crazy. So far the only problem I'm having is getting all of my fluids in.
  2. I had my surgery on the 10th.. Everything as far as pain has pretty much diminished and my incisions are looking great. I'm having a problem with taking slow enough sips of whatever and keeping it down. Jello seems to be fine, though. My major problem is the upset stomach. It's constant. I know it's normal but if I could get rid of the upset stomach, i'd be fine...

    I'm Still Learning My Body

That's absolutely wonderful! I'm pre-op right now. I've been trying to come to terms with the fact that I won't be able to enjoy/tolerate some of the things that I do now. I am glad I read your post, though. It gives me hope. Thank you.

    New To Vst.

I have had my Surgery Appt with my regular physician, And part 1 of 2 of my Psych Eval today, also saw my Thyroid doctor. Everything is great so far. I have my 2nd Eval appt next Wednesday. I'm definitely excited.
  5. So, I found the site yesterday. It's been a long journey, deciding to finally have this surgery. I'm 23, with a 2 year old daughter from Michigan. I had my consultation appt yesterday. I have one of the few insurances that doesn't have the 6 months worth of weigh ins and tests that need to be done. I made an appt with my regular care physician for later this month. Waiting for the number for a Psych Eval. Once I get the release from my doc and the Pysch Eval, it will only take a few weeks for the Ins Co to turn it over. So, it should be around the end of next month - into October that I'll have it done. I've heard nothing but good things about the sleeve. My cousin has had AWESOME results and he got it done nearly a year ago. So any information that can be given to me on what to expect the first few weeks, it would be great. I know about reintroducing foods to your stomach post op and the sort, but I would love to know what everyone has experienced. Though, I know that everyone is different. Thanks, ya'll!
