I have tried yoplait Greek yogurt and it is pretty good? Anyone else try other brands? What's the best?
-
I just tried the turkey pepperoni chips. Um, um good!

All well at my dr appt, moved on to protein drinks and vitamins.

I was sleeved on the 20th. Going for my first dr appt this afternoon. It will be the first time I am driving and out and about by myself. I am getting in more liquid than required and feeling pretty good, just feel a little weak sometimes. Is this normal?
-
Thanks so much, my daughter was worried, she thought that I should be cleaning and changing them.
-
Ok, I need some help. Am I supposed to change these bandages or just leave them until they fall off? They are starting to itch. All my nurse said wad to shower just letting water hit those areas then pat dry.

My S(sleeve)-Day Story....

Hi Dana, your experience is almost the same as mine, except I had no nausea and was sleeved last Thursday by Dr. Lavin, so I am one day ahead of you. Congrats and continue updating your story! -
How is everyone doing? I am able to sip my 40 oz. mainly propel and water. I had a fudge sickle yesterday and today and it tasted wonderful!
-
I came home yesterday. No complications. I am doing well, just having gas. No problem getting down liquids, even woke twice during the night bc I was thirsty. I had a fudge sickle this afternoon and it was delicious!
-
I'm scared too, can't wait until tomorrow night when I am sipping.

I am on the 20th also, no pre-op except day before clear liquids only! Very excited to start this journey! Only one night in hospital.

Anyone Having Or Had Surgery In New Orleans?
wagox1 replied to shanbutler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Dana, My upper GI went well, but I do have a small hernia. I had my first visit on July 29 and go back for third visit next Thursday. Blue Cross does not require weight loss. I am having a hard time, I only lost a half pound in thirty days and still do not think I have lost. I live in Abita Springs. I would very much like to meet up with you. How about next week, any day but Thursday. Robin -

Hi Dana, I'm on the Northshore too! I'm going for my upper GI this morning. On the 90 day track with Blue Cross, I don't have a date yet, still have to get cardio ok and blood work. I am very worried about the food issue, I'm having a really hard time doing pre-op, not able to loose much. I hope insurance is ok with that. I'm interested in support groups also. I know there is one in Slidell, but would love to get together in west St. Tammany. Robin -
How much does insurance want you to loose pre op in order to approve surgery? What type of diet were you on? Just starting journey and have lots of ?s.

Did you have to loose weight for BCBS Fed to approve? If so, how much? -
I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield Federal.
