i personally havent been sleeved but i kinda struggle with the same thing. my last diet. appt is september 5th and i know once i have my surgery date on paper mentally i will have to stop. i am taking chantix again so hopefully it will really help subside the cravings. ive been bumming off my friends i refuse to buy a pack!! i know how you feel with sleeping right after work ( i have a 2 year old and sneak in a nap almost everyday before i pick her up from daycare) once we get home we do dinner and then im kinda bored (taking 2online classes to keep me busy as well) then for that last hour before the babysitting closes at the gym i bring myself to the gym for at least 45 minutes which makes me sleep and rest sooo comfortably. its that *after meal CIG* that kills me. as soon as i finish a meal its all i want!!!! before i had it ready and waiting. now i wait at least a half an hour to an hour before having a cig. i really really really want 2 stop but it is hard. payday this friday and i will DEF be investing in the E CIG. i think it will REALLY help alot!!!! i havent been sleeved but i could imagine it is hard and frustrating. do you have fears of stretching your sleeve? mentally thats what i think about. i think all the junk and bad stuff will make me sick and even now if i slip up off of my nut meal plan i get really really sick. >( good luck to you! maybe your dr can prescribe you chantix.

ive read on here numerous times (and you tube videos) that the dreaded stall always starts around the 3rd-4th week keep your head up!

Why Haven't You Had Weight Loss Surgery Yet?
FDclerical replied to Suzannesh's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
hey thanks so much for that post! it was so nice and comforting!!!! ive debated lap band and bypass. after seeing the lack of weight loss my friend had with the band, reading about all its complications and insight from my surgeon i didnt decide to go with the sleeve until my 5th month. sept 5th is my last nut appointment and i cant wait!! im ready for the lifestyle change, for me my daughter. to be healthy and happy and live long and have energy for her! i dont want to be miserable and not feel like myself. im terrified and i make sure i read up on all the complications. i know everyones body and situation is different, i just hope for the best and that i recover well. ive had a c section (although i have a low tolerance for pain) i think i will be ok. my job is amazing and we have paid short term disability i cant wait!!! thanks for such wonderful tips <3!!! -

FDclerical replied to billyvmom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
congratulations to all of you/!!! i share your joy just reading your posts! i still have my last dietician appt on sept 5th then we will submit to the insurance that day!! good luck and hope you all have an amazing recovery/! -

i too can relate my grandma only grandparent left just hard a heart attack and they dont know if she is strong enough to go through surgery to help her get better. my 2 year old is driving me nuts! temporary separation from my husband. just started 2 online classes. work full time and financial issues are always a burden. BUT we have the surgery to look forward to. we dont want to sabotage this amazing gift that weve all been working soo hard for!! i got chantix a week ago and stopped taking it. i want to start again tomorrow because all in all smoking is so bad. i can barely walk up the stairs without being out of breath (and i work out 4 times a week). its ok if you slip up its very hard to quit. almost depressing. but i have faith in you! and reading your post gives me more determination to not buy a pack on the way to work in the morning!!!!!!

Smokeranalyzer Test
FDclerical replied to SleeveShelly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i feel your pain. i havent even gotten a surgery date yet but you have to be CIG FREE for at least 3 days for that test to go SOMEWHAT right. my surgeon refuses to operate unless i am cig free a month before surgery. which i will be. they say it takes 3 days for the nictone to leave your system. after that i GUESS its physical but i dont believe that physical crap. its mental. you have to want to stop!! please please stop now. you are cutting it very close and we wouldnt want anything to happen to you!!!!! good luck i know its hard. im struggling myself but chantix does help fight the cravings. -
i stopped taking chantix on day 5 only because i forgot. i also noticed my cravings have subsided and before i used to have a cig in the morning before i even took a shower for work. now i wait for my drive to work. i plan to start it again. it did make me very light headed if i was hungry. dreams were fine just alot more detailed as if i was living out every single moment. i want to start again because i want to be cig free. i know i can do it its just really really hard. i promised myself by Sunday i would quit for good.
