very excited and anxious. due to the delay in them needing my chart present at this appointment today my file still hasnt been sent to the insurance. but i see the schedule coordinator today and she promised it would be sent it. my insurance is open til 7pm so i will def. be calling all day to make sure they got my paperwork!!! on a side note. does anyone work on consistenly every week? if so....do you have any numbness in your toes? i know this sounds SO WEIRD but the first 3 toes on my right foot are numb. i saw my pcp about it and he said its probably a pinched nerve from using the ellyptical so much??? i dunno.....i decided to post a pic of me and my co worker from a baby shower we through at work on friday! can i please also add how i work for a HUGE toy company and we are constantly spoiled with cakes, Cookies and the same basket of Snacks delivered to our break room at 1:30pm everyday! i have learned to fight the temptation and if i do grab a snack its 90 cal goldfish or lorna doone cookies. we also have fruit baskets in the morning which is great motivation keeps me on track. and a fridge stocked of juice and Water allllllll day! thank god i am taking 3 weeks off after surgery. wish me luck at my appointment and i better get my surgery date today lol...

Now I Am Lactose Intolerent
FDclerical replied to mufasas-mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i just realized after being extremely sick in the past 5 days and losing another 3 pounds that i am definitely lactose intolerate. i guess i never paid attention to the signs before. I JUST WENT GRocery shopping but for now im cutting out cheese completely.. its big my biggest weakness. my daughter loves her milk and yogurt. i see my pcp on wed so i will def be asking whats the best pills to take. i hate the cramping diharrea feeling. i get cold sweats and chills. it took over me at work on friday. i suppose thats what the dumping syndrome feels like. its so painful and something i dont want 2 deal with anymore. i was getting so scared wondering what was wrong with me. i will def be looking into lactose free everything just to avoid this pain that has taken over me!!! -
Wow I have a 2 year old daughter and having the same fear!! No surgery date yet sorry!! I know my doctor said I can't lift her for 2 weeks! She does love to jump on me and rub my stomach LOL. I've already been prepping her telling her soon I will have a lot of boo boo on my belly and she can't touch or play for a while its hard but ill be off for 3 weeks from work and her daycare is open from 630-6. My husband isn't around right now so I will take the time to rest up,heal minor exercise (if I can) while she's at school. Good Luck to you!!! Right around the corner!!!

i actually have a followup with my surgeon sept 17th and the nurse asked me today if i quit smoking. i was down to 3 cigs a day. my pcp called in chantix which i take twice a day and she never mentioned cancelling or delaying surgery because of it. one thing my surgeon suggested that he will not do surgery on me unless i am nicotine free for 3 weeks before my date. i also use the e cig and i read on here a surgeon offered their patient to stay with her patches on. if you search smoking on here you might find some info. also i know it takes only 3 days for the nictone to leave your system, you should be ok try to bring yourself to the point to ask your surgeon, it will only benefit you in the end!good luck to youu

Hmmm The Frustrations . Now I Understand How You Guys Feel
FDclerical posted a topic in Insurance & Financing
SO! to my knowledge my packet was submitted to insurance last thursday. but nooo i received a phone call saying the NURSE had me down for lap band surgery and they didnt have the authorization code for GASTRIC SLEEVE! so i had to call the surgical sheduler today to clarify and they are going to get the correct authorization code and resubmit to insurance. i KNOW how wicked busy these people are. but you would think they would at least review notes and see that i made a final decision my last 2 visits? im not mad. just frustrated and anxious. to the point where im dreaming about this surgery at night and it keeps me up. (i blame Chantix for part of this as well) oh yeah the screen busted on my brand new lap top. hence why im writing this from work. even tho i have 2 online classes that i am taking right now. im going to stay positive no matter what gets in the way or whatever hiccups come about. just needed to vent. i spoke to my Surgeons office and he is giving me a surgery date on September 17th so at least I have that to look forward to -
heyyy i heard back from the nurses office. for some reason my file said lap band and i told them to please look at the notes from my last 3 appointments where i made up my mind. my surgeon is in surgery today and she said she promises she will call me back tomorrow as soon as she gets verbal confirmation. im going into their office on monday and im not leaving without a surgery date lol. damn i thought i was gonna have a nice smooth case but of course with all the other madness going on in my life . this should be expected. its ok. im staying patient. and it will make it that much more rewarding when its all over. i really hope and pray you DONT have to go through the 6month program again. THEY NEED to give you credit for everything you have gone through!! i will continue 2 pray for you!!!

the nurse called me and left a voicemail 10 minutes ago!! and said that she got my message about the sleeve but she needs to confirm with my Surgeon first (WHICH MAY TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS) not sure why if their in the same office. anyways! if they checked the notes from our last followup they would see that my Surgeon said either bypass or sleeve. lapband would be a waste of time. i have my followup with him on the 17th and that is when i get my surgery date. in a perfect world i want to be approved by Monday. my surgeons office has no doubts so they are ok with giving me a surgery date. <333 staying positive!!!!! -
Super Small Amounts Of Food?

Does your surgeons office require weight loss? I too have ConnrcticuT Medicaid. I gained 7 pounds and was able to take it off. I think u will be OK because of your bmi and that u have other complications. Just stay positive and hope for the best. I'm still waiting for my Approval its only been one day but soon anxious. Good luck to u! My insurance and surgeon do not require weight loss they just want u to maintain, stay consistent, bring food journals and show that u are really trying
-
Hi sanaah so proud of you!!!! I don't have a relationship with my in laws only a few family members know. All co workers and my neighbors very supportive though!!!! I'm excited for our journey to begin!!!! Well it kinda already has!!! Just waiting for that phone call of approval

Reason Why No Food For 3 Weeks & Update

Also if u get grant money I would try to save some of your disbursements each semester that might help

I'm sorry that you feel this way and please stay positive because things get better. If your job doesn't offer insurance I'm pretty sure you will meet the guidelines for state insurance. Its a pain dealing with the State but in the end soooooo worth it. Google DSS office for your state and it will bring up the closest locations. All they need are 2 or 4 pay stubs. Not sure how much u make but I JUST made under the income limit ( I also have a 2 year old) but please try. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your head up. I would also look into your local hospitals and attend a WLS support/information meeting. They are free and usually once a month. Someone will help you or steer you in the right direction to achieve your goals!
