Lifting a 40 pound bag of dog food after losing 40 pounds
kimpossible67 replied to auntjanny's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Isn't that awesome? I walk everywhere and I remember carrying just 10 lbs a mile, in the beginning. I walked totally different and I felt awful. When people say I've "only" lost so much weight...go to the store and carry your lost weight around. Reality check. Good for you!!! -
Graduated Bob. Stacked in the back. 14 inches was cut off. No bangs.

Gonna be a year on April 7th. Can't believe who I am now. Crazy energetic for someone that's turning 50 this year. Funniest AH ha moment was when I realized my ankle tattoos had shrunk. As had my ankles I would do it again in a minute. Don't wait like I did. I mulled it over for 10 years. My skin isn't snapping back like it would have when I was 10 years younger.

Yesterday I made a reduced section London broil, rare. Got in some brocolli with butter, Romano cheese and parm cheese. I'll eat it cold for breakfast. Several days worth.

Drinking Sodas with sleeve?
kimpossible67 replied to titan05's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I worked in a coffee shop back when Atkins was the "in" thing. Take diet root beer, or diet orange, add ice and a little half and half or heavy cream. Problem solved. No carbonation and it tastes like a float or a dreamscicle. -

kimpossible67 replied to jjmcrash218's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm just now, 11 mths post op adding actual exercise to my walking. I can get on the floor now and do an, thigh, glut workouts. I crank up my favorite songs and walk and run in place in my lvngroom. Yesterday I did 1 mile outdoors walking but did 4 more miles inside walking/running/dancing in place. I LOVE it! NEVER have I liked exercise but this makes me feel so good! -
Drinking Sodas with sleeve?

Is it the taste you're missing or the carbonation? I'm not a big fan of fizz so I remove it and drink it flat. Win win -
Drinking Sodas with sleeve?

I shake the bottle to remove fizz. Doesn't work well. I pour it in a glass and stir the carbonation out of it. -
Last time I got my hair cut was the first week of November and I'd lost 60lbs. I had the same gal today. She remembered me and couldn't believe I've lost 118 lbs. she said my hair is growing in, hair loss wasn't bad really. My hairs just a little finer now. She made no comment that I was losing any hair.

I'm in love with this tune, my entire body starts dancing. Great workout motivator. On YT they have a step by step line dance to the song. They also have one of the class doing the entire dance.

Does everyone meet their protein goal every day?
kimpossible67 replied to downsizingdiva's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Nope. -
Yep me too but I do have a neurological disease. I think my blood pressure is too low. My bp has always been on the normal to low side anyway.

That's the million dollar question! I too have a blame it on pregnancy, butt in the front with a lovely apron. C sections, vertical. I'm a mass of wrinkles on my butt. I've just started doing toning exercises for butt, thighs and abs...who knew I had abs until they started shrieking in pain? I walk, I dance and jog in my living room. I'm doing crunches as well as I can get my shoulders off the floor. I've accomplished some pretty crappy push ups. But, I did them! Just google some ab toning to do. I'm assuming you're young, that's in your favor. Let us know what you come up with!

I shocked a friend yesterday when I showed her my hospital pic. She says "who is that?" I pointed at myself and she just freezes and says "you...?...no WAY! Yup

My husband is not attracted to me - 2 weeks post-op

I have a wonderful rebuttal but it's not appropriate here. Okay...I can lose weight, your thing will always be small. -
Need help with my preop shopping list
kimpossible67 replied to MommaDawn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh goodness, I prepared for every conceivable thing. Came home, opened the fridge and it hit me "how will ever I eat all this?" It's hard to judge because your tastes change following surgery. Just the basics, strained cream soups, protein drinks, broth sf jello. -
So of course me being me decides to get down on the floor and do some exercises. Of course I don't start slow and easy. I do 12 crunches and think I can do 12 more so at a 100 plus I stop. Nothing hurt. I preceded to contort my body into all kinds of muscle workouts. Cut to today...OMG! Do I work thru the pain today or can I rest for one day?

I spent my entire second month nauseous every single day. When I'd had enough I called my surgeon who gave me zofran. Oddly (mind over matter?) the nausea stopped that day. I was very nauseous in the hospital. I hope you get relief soon.
