This is significant because I left food on my plate. At my Protein first and splurged a tiny bit on things I love!

BAKING! I loved baking! I sold my baking. At some point I had over 100 dozen in my freezer. I was going to get a pastry degree for goodness sake!!! I'm baking a few dz. Chocolate chip and it's like I'm being forced. I had a tiny bit of dough and chip on my finger, I looked at it and flung it the junk. Can't wait to make the meatballs though, lol. Amazing how much the stomach has changed the mind!

I can also bet I'll be the one in the kitchen refilling or starting cleanup. Will see how it goes. -
Holiday meals - how do/did you handle it?
kimpossible67 replied to VSG Davis's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well I'm going to handle usual buffet like this: protein first lol. If I have room for anything else I may try some things I love...you know, like baby spoon of this or that? The one thing I INTEND to have is one of my moms pickled beets. She only brings them out at holidays. -
Love it! Merry Christmas!!!

You're right! I'm always cold from about September to June lol. It's just worse this year!!! -
Be able to have the strength in my legs to snap shut the leg thingy on my recliner. I no longer struggle to get out of my recliner but I just don't have the strength to shut it. What are some of your unusual goals/victories? I'd like to learn how to rollerblade. I'd like to fly without a seatbelt extender. I want to go to Cedar point and fit on all the rides. I want to race a go-cart.

I wholeheartedly agree with all but one. You will not see me zip lining.

I've been at a stall for 2 weeks. I lost .5 lbs yesterday at 1 am. 216.0 Again I cannot sleep. Routine is to make coffee, weigh, let dog out. I get on the scale. It reads 218.8! (Wtf...Why the Face?) I look down and realize I'm wearing a hat, tee shirt sweatshirt hoodie, carrhart, 2 pairs of pj pants and slippers. All 2-4 sizes too big. Duh

1. I have a housemate. 2. He is male. 3. We share a kitchen where I weigh myself. D. Never gonna happen. E V E R Z. (Laughing yet?) I'm too busy adding layers, hats, gloves, comforters, pets. He feels bad and tries to smoke me out of the chair by ripping off articles of clothing and pitching them when he turns up the furnace.

Stomach Bug since surgery?
kimpossible67 replied to jcrsmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Seriously though. I have vomited almost immediately 5 times. 1 too many spoons full. It was the same coming up as going down. It was not the bug. I have no advice. Just color commentary. -

Take a break. I have MS. I took 2 falls in one week. One coming in the door, one going outside over a step....out the same damn door. I haven't been able to get one my knees in years. Guess how I landed?! I've always had decent legs even at 300 plus pounds. They are wearing badges of honor. One across my tattoo that reads "never give up." I don't want you to give up either. I want for you to give in a little

Well I finally broke my stall. This is truly a small victory. All I could do was laugh. I went from 216.5 to 216.0.

Cream of Wheat nightmare! Help!

Two schools of thought. #1. Question, Does it contain sugar? #2. question, have you seen the video demonstration of taking a tiny sip of water while eating or immediately following? -
Honestly for me, I was 3 mths out. Had a slice. 3 bites was all I could handle. 2 months later I tried again...road trip...teenagers. It took me six hours to make it to the crust. I gave up. Pizza kicked my ass.

I get very nauseous. 8.5 mths post op.

Lying about what type of surgery..
kimpossible67 replied to Bubsen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm sorry. I worked with a lady who I'm positive had lapband but never asked, never confirmed. She had severe acid reflux and she had "stomach surgery." -
Almost there! 213.7 with 2 pairs of pj pants, 1 sweatshirt and a tee, bare feet. 8 months 2 weeks, 98.3 lbs.
