My kid is in the military and left stuff that's stored. I was instructed to throw everything away except for a compound bow case. I found 2 really heavy duty warm carrhart type coats. Seriously warm. I washed them up, dried them and tried them on. They both fit and both labels read Large!!! I'm still just over 200 lbs. what a victory! Now I will round up my big coats and give them to a homeless shelter. Score! Happy 2015! It's January kids, I know many of you have your January dates, how exciting!!!

I have a hard time giving up my coats. I'm still wearing a blue carrhart that's 11 years old and a 2 x. I can just get lots of layers on under it! I love it because the pockets are in the perfect spot, like a hoodie. I store stuff in there like a squirrel collects nuts lol. I'm very forgetful so when I go through my pockets it's like OH! That's where it went haha. -

AND I don't drink but maybe once a year. Thought I'd clear that right up. -

I've drank wine and hard liquor, no difference whatsoever. Just the usual headache after 2 drinks. 3 drinks have been my limit. Not even tipsy. -
While looking up Chike on Amazon I read the reviews for Click. Considerably cheaper than Chike and the reviewers are raving about it. Anyone bought this stuff? 14 servings of Vanilla Latte is $17.77. Thoughts?

Do you have days you just look down and it feels like some stuck a pin in you? Or a slow leak in a tire? Something looks/feels so different all of a sudden. I almost feel...small..kind of fragile almost (trust me, I am neither). I notice I'm not comparing myself to a others quite as much. It was unusually warm yesterday and I'm always freezing. I'm outside in jeans and a tee. I didn't feel self conscious it was weird. I didn't go grab something to hide my sagging...I just enjoyed the air!

If you goggle about coffee and dehydration, you have to ingest a Lot of coffee in order for it to be dehydrating. I drink one to two cups a day of regular coffee.

Ugh I blew it big time. My stomach never hollered or Re-gifted so I'm on my own. Starting over and drinking extra fluids to was h out the binge I went on. Ugh. So disgusted with myself. -
I'm 8 mths plus post op. I've lost 104 lbs. each of my shoulders hurt when I lay down on them. Is it lack of padding (fat)?
-
I've only had trouble with seafood. Salmon (gag) shrimp and 3 bites of deep fried cod. I can tolerate everything else. No problems at all with raw veggies, salad, lucky me!
-
So how much does that surgery hurt???
-
Weightloss is all I can think of! They only hurt when I lay on one or the other.

Huh. Here I was thinking they were going to go in and jerk the muscles down and I don't know staple/duct tape them in place? I'm sorry I only know the one variation of T n A, lol. What is TA? And I don't want it!!!

Who would have thought saggy skin and a turkey neck would be a beautiful thing? Considering I was working on my 14th chin...lol...I LOVE the turkey neck. My upper thighs have bought the farm though. Glad from the knee down aside from fall incidents they look pretty good. -
Honey I never take offense! Well most of the time lol!

How do you (over) react when someone actually says something rude? WOW!

Abuse of wls..when it's not needed
kimpossible67 replied to Momma_D's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't understand the uproar! I was told that if I lost too much weight on the six month supervised diet I might not be eligible for surgery per insurance. -
A little testy are we? If you don't want others advice...don't post. I thought I knew it all going in. Then I had the surgery and had to live it while trying to pull my foot out of my mouth. Best of luck

My ex sil had bypass and idk if she at wrong but the gas that she readily and frequently and with no shame was horrendous. That was one of the reasons I had VSG. Oh my it's been years since of seen her. Being in a closed vehicle was torture. She farted majorly every 5 minutes. A 2 hr drive?!!!

I wonder the same thing. I'd chew off my arm to weigh 200 lbs. I can't believe insurance even covers that. Hell, I was 312 and STILL had to jump thru hoops. My bmi was over 50!!! -
You aren't saying goodbye but next go around...you'll actually TASTE what little you CAN eat. There were a few "must haves" the rest the garbage I used to shovel in held no temptation.

All I wanted for Cristmas was a can of blue diamond almonds, lol. I got those and a gift card to Tim Horton's (for coffe)...SCORE!!! -
I had a taco. Sort of
kimpossible67 replied to kimpossible67's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I keep my carbs low enough I can spurge on a little taco shell, bread or pasta. The only thing that gives me cravings is straight up sugar added products. I avoid them as much as possible. -
My kids took me out to lunch. Happily they didn't have to waste money on my meal. It was taco day. I ordered 1 hard shell with sour cream cheese, lettuce and tomato. I ended up only eating along the sour cream/meat line and removed all the shell above it. So less than half of a whole taco. No problems it tasted wonderful. I know the person waiting on me was thinking wth? I finally enjoyed being out at a restaurant, I felt comfortable. For once I didn't think about food. I enjoyed the conversations MORE than I paid attention to food. This is so major for me. I was the only one that cleaned their plate when out to eat. Now I'm the only one leaving food on my plate (taco), giving it away or boxing it up. I may eat a little. Dog has better chances with the leftovers, lol.
