    Wth?

I finally started losing again. I lost 20 pounds pre-op and now 17 pounds since surgery. I went Tuesday 5/29 and had only lost 1 pound since my 2 week post op appt. Good news is that same day I also had my diet progression class!! I'm so excited to CHEW something. Thank you for your support.

    Wth?

OK, I was sleeved April 30th. I lost 10 pounds the first week but haven't lost anything in 2 weeks. I don't know what to do. I'm not allowed to exercise yet. I'm not eating much. I'm drinking all of my water. I have had a couple of glasses of iced tea....

    I Feel Like A Failure

You're not a failure!! It's an on going process and a life long struggle. I stalled for 2 weeks but finally started to lose again, and you will too. At least you can't eat as much as you used to. Try putting things in a small bowl or plate to eat. Don't eat out of the bags. Maybe try eating some Protein first and possibly becoming to full for Cookies. How does your stomach feel after eating the "bad" stuff?
  4. I went to my informational meeting in January. My 4 hour consultation was in February. My 1 month follow up in March and my surgery is April 30th. I went through the program at CMC last year.
  5. I totally agree on eating healthy. I wouldn't go through all of this just for fun. I don't drink soda, so that's not an issue for me. I have a healthy diet, but even too much of a good thing can be bad, and that's my problem. I also have fibromyalgia and MS which makes it hard to be as active as I would like, put those together with being 150+ pounds overweight..... I just started a new savings account for potential cosmetic surgery to take care of the things that are heading South and all the skin....in case I want it when I'm done.
  6. WOW, good job on the weight loss. And sorry to hear of your family's loss. My surgery is now on April 30th. I'm having my surgery at Newton Wellesley in Newton, MA. Surgeon is Dr. Chahal. I'm going there because one of my best friends had her bypass there and highly recommended it. My question right now is.... Do you have foods you can not eat? My friend who had the bypass can not eat Pasta, rice, bread, any type of sugar, just to name a few.
  7. Hello there, I'm in NH and will be sleeved on 4/17/12
