    I didn't start counting calories until soft food stage which was week 3 for me. The first two weeks was just making sure I got fluids and protein in. Mynetdiary is a great app for me on calorie counting and exercise log. You can scan barcodes and it learns the things you eat frequently and all you do is type a few letters after awhile. It's 99 cents and Also you can track how many glasses a day of fluids you drink.
