In July my weight was 300.0 ... Im 5'9". August 30 started my pre-op diet at 294. My surgery was Friday September 14 at 08:00 and this morning, Tuesday Sept 18 i weigh 274.8! Trying to get in the clear liquids 30cc at a time and doing well. I can only get up to walk; no reaching or bending/squatting or i get terribly dizzy and nauseated. Diet consists of room temp crystal light, room temp water, and warm chicken broth. I think i am doing really well considering i only need my pain medicine about every 8 hours. Yesterday, i went with my mom to walmart. I rode the handicap cart and kept a nausea pill in my pocket just in case... But i didnt need it. I was glad to get out of the house!! Dr visit is next Tuesday so i guess ill update by then. I sure hope my sleeve friends on here are doing well too!!

September 14Th

I have some discomfort around the incision but im only taking my pain meds every 12 hours or so. I was up too much yesterday tho, i was concerned about protein but a lady from hospital called to check on me and when i asked she said no protein until i see dr... I even asked about the clear protein shots. So since the 15th, all i have had is crystal light, Water, 99% fat free chicken broth and sugar free Jello. My dr appt is Tuesday so im just going to continue clear liquids until then. I could start full liquids today, one week out, but im scared. And the only thing negative besides the occasional discomfort in my abdomen, is that i get dizzy if im up too long, which is what happened yesterday. Wish i could help! Ill let you know what my doc says when i see him!! -

Pcos (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) And The Sleeve
AllisonWonderland replied to Kimmyk's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have always had an irregular period. From age 12-17. Obgyn put me on ocella (estrogen) and my periods got extremely heavy when i took the "off-week" dose. She did ultrasound (pelvic and transvaginal) and found cysts on both ovaries. Also, blood work showed i have a blood clotting disorder thats genetic called Factor V leiden. So she immediately stopped the estrogen and started me on the depo provera shot once every 3 months. The depo will help dissolve the cysts. After the first 3 shots, i have NO period. So for the past 3 years, i have had no period, only sometimes slight spotting. BUT, when i lose weight rapidly, even while on depo, i get a period. This is because your body stores estrogen in fat, and we are burning so much fat with this restricted diet. My surgery date is sept 14 and ill keep yall updated! -

AllisonWonderland replied to Raven21's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to true results. They and my insurance required an EKG/PFT, EGD, sleep study, blood work twice because i have factor V leiden. ..6 visits (one a month for 6 months). One visit with nutritionist. Psychological evaluation, abdominal ultrasound, clearance letter from PCP, history of obesity 4 +years, letter of medical necessity. I think thats it! LOL Surgery date sept 14 -
