    Wow Moments

My insurance didn't cover my operation, but due to where I live, I was able to have the sleeve done in Lima, Peru for $5,000. Losing weight has bought me my freedom back. Freedom to smile again and feel good about getting out. I had my surgery last month and down 35 pounds, BMI was 40, now it is 34, so I am on my way. I say WOW every day. Great job everyone. Your stories inspired me my first two weeks, when post-op wasn't so much fun as now!

How much should I be eating?

I am going to have surgery in two weeks. I have no idea what to expect food wise. What is a normal diet for all of you..month 1, month 2, month 3, month 4, etc? What will a typical breakfast be? lunch? dinner? Thanks again. This is a great site!

    What to tell your boss??

I found this site today! What a great site!! By the way, the only people know that I am getting operated on are my doctor and my wife. I weigh 253 lbs , height 5'9 with a BMI of 37 (Male) so I am going to tell them that I decided to eat less and drop the weight. I am going to do the sleeve in mid September. I am very excited about it. I live in South America and unfortunately my insurance here does not cover it as it does in the US. It will cost $5,000. The doctor that is operating on me is well known in the area and has performed and taught courses on sleeve operations so I feel good about the situation. Speaking of costs, how much does the sleeve cost in Mexico? Really excited to be thin and buy normal clothes!
