Hello my fellow Sleevers! So I was sleeved on 8/23. SW:274 preop:268 CW:254. I'm down a total of 20lbs. I wish it was more but I am very thankful. I can now fit my size 18 jeans from a size 22. Yayy! I'm feeling great. No compllications. I'm looking forward to making it to Onederland soon! I hope you all are doing well. Good luck:-)

So I'm 2 weeks post today. I am doing well on soups and mushy foods. I have vomited a few times from taken that one bite too many. Ughh I hate that feeling. I now know when to stop because I usually belch or get the hiccups. I have no problems getting in the water and crystal light. Protein shakes are now disgusting to me but I have managed to get down atleast one per day. I am not itching on my palms and feet. This is so weird and annoying. I am walking 2miles 3x a week. Sometimes I do still experience stomach pain and pain on my right side after walking. How are all my fellow Sleevers doing? Feel free to share your experiences. Best wishes:-)

So I'm 12 days post op and yesterday my friend and I took our kids to the Zoo. It was a really hot day and I did bring water to sip on throughout the day but....I became dizzy and my surroundings started to darken and look fuzzy. I almost fell over and had to sit down immediately. We did walk around for 3hrs in the sun but this has never happened to me before. Was this caused by dehydration? I woke up today a lil dizzy so I drank Gatorade and water all day today and now I feel better! I hope this never happens again. That was scary! Hope all my fellow sleevers are doing well! Hello Sleevers...well today I'm 7days post op and im feeling great. My follow up appt with surgeon is tomorrow. I have been taking my vitamins regularly and meds when needed. I do not have much stomach pain anymore. I'm happy about that. I don't have much of an appetitie and when I do eat its only a lil bowl of creamy soup using my 2yrs old's toddler bowl. Lol. I get full really quick. I am trying to keep up with my liquids. Its so difficult because I want to gulp it down but I can't lol. As far as the protein shakes....I haven't really been drinking them. They are disgusting and they give me horrible gas lol. I'm sure my doctor will go over my diet with me again but right now the crystal light, water, creamy soups, applesauce, sf jello, and sf pudding works fine for me. I did try a piece of a french fry and a hamburger pattie(both the size of my fingernail) but I had no desire for it. Yay!!!! How are u guys doing? Sending happy thoughts and prayers to everyone:-)

I'm doing well. Stomach pain isn't too bad today. I'm able to move around more. I'm still sipping on crystal light and water. I don't have an urge to drink or eat anything but SF popsicles. I can't wait until the gas pains subside. That's the worst of it all. I'm on Lortab for the pain and it really helps a lot, although it does put me to sleep. I appreciate your kind words and I'm wishing you all much success during your journey. I will keep you all posted;-) If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

I'm still sipping on crystal light and broth but these gas pains are so uncomfortable. I'm taking pain pills every which helps a lot until the pill wears off. I don't feel nausea unless I smell food or see food...is that normal? My mom made porkchops today for my sis and kids and the smell of it made me so sick to my stomach. I can't wait til the pain is gone for good. I hate feeling uncomfortable! Good luck everyone:-)

Surgery went well yesterday. I was disharged today and I'm so happy to be home. I am in some pain but the pain meds are helpful. I'm also havng trouble getting comfortable because of the stomach pain. I haven't been able to get down much water but I have been sipping here and there. I did eat a sugar free popsicle today. I can't believe I'm Post Op day 1. I'm really proud of myself for going through with the procedure. You all have helped me get through this and I wouldn't have been able to do it without my VSG family! I wish everyone much success and I'm sending prayers and blessing to u all;-)

Well tomorrow is the day and I'm extremely nervous. I still can't believe I have made the decision to have this procedure done but I am excited and I'm looking forward to living a new and healthier lifestyle. I hope and pray everything goes well. Started my preop liquid diet on aug 9th, and I have to admit the first 2 days I was on track but since then I have cheated. I really thought that I could do it but this is extremely difficult. Surgery day is on the 23rd and I'm so nervous but also disappointed that I did not follow the diet. All I can do now is try my best to follow this liquid diet for the next 5days and just hope and pray everything goes well. For all of you up and coming sleevers...I wish u much success throughout your journey;-)

That's great! I'm happy for you! I went today for medical clearance by my primary care physician...and would u believe I lost 5lbs. I really haven't been sticking to the preop diet. I know its bad but I have been trying! Well I'm anxiously waiting for surgery on the 23rd and I hope and pray it all goes well!

I just started my 14day preop diet today and i hope I get through it. My surgery date is Aug 23rd. I totally agree with you...its difficult to have a little one that doesnt sleep through the night. My daughter is 2 and she is full of energy and such a terror at times. lol. I wish you much success through your VSG journey. You can do it!!!!!
