Hey all! I just had my surgery on Tuesday and I feel like I could die. I'm jealous of everyone that says the feel great. I am 35/F preop weight was 244.5 at my last dr visit. I don't remember what it was the morning of surgery because I was already sick before then, my husband drove me to the hospital that morning and I laid the seat back with my eyes covered the whole way there. :-( Anyway, so here I am only 4 days post op and I feel no energy, tired, and how in the hell am I gonna make it the rest of the 2 weeks, or 10 days. I'm feeling very discouraged at this point. I'm barely getting in my liquids, in fact getting nowhere close to what they want me to be at and these Protein drinks and crap my husband bout from them taste like spit! It's already 1/2 after four pm and I've maybe had a little over 20 oz. I just want the 10 days to pass ASAP so I can start adding in foods again. I'm hungry. Can we have milk products? I wanna make some sort of smoothie! lol

I'm 6 days post op today too and I haven't taken any pain meds since I left the hospital on Wednesday at noon. The only pain I've experienced but the incisions have been my largest on about 3 inches on my left side. It only happens if I stretch too far for something. Today at work I was feeling some slight annoying back pain and some in the muscles under my boobs. More annoying than anything.

April 25th and you can't keep food down yet??? Oh that scares me. I'm 5 days post op and have 9 days left of this liquid crap. I can't wait to bite into an egg or eat some shredded chicken. If my new stomach doesn't take it well I will surely die!

Holy crap! 10 weeks? I would need the money. That's a long time.

My Dr doesn't limit protein. So I think your fine.

I only scheduled off for the rest of the week. I guess I will see what the morning brings me. My Dr. said some people go back within just a few days, so I figured that 6 days would be adequate. :-(

I hear a lot of people need to have their gallbladder removed. Might be it. I've already had mine removed in2002. But the thing that comes to mind first and foremost is kidney stones. Sounds like the pain I had when I had Kinsey stones.

I am scheduled to go back on Monday, and I'm only 4 days out right now. But I'm a receptionist. I'm noticing that everyone has different after effects from surgery and right now I have no energy or anything. I'm not sure if I will be able to return Monday.

I'm with ya! -
My post op instructions said at least 2 weeks before submerging in a bath or pool. I'm sure as long as healing is going well, 2 weeks is fine. I miss the pool at this point and can't wait!
