  1. 6 weeks out, going for follow up today.. Threw away my scale.... Was in a looooooong stall, wish me luck!!
  2. Very frustrated!! DOS was july 9th, Down 30 lbs, 12 was Pre op and haven't lost anything in the last 3 weeks! Following my diet, working out 3-4x week. If I were on a diet, I'd quit! Normal? While surgery/post op weren't horrible , I'd like to know that I didn't do all this to lose 30 of the 100 lbs I want to lose!!

    Protein Bars

Well said. We have all been judged by society at one time or another. These forums are intended to be a supportive, "safe" place to share our stories, helpful hints, ideas, fears and frustrations. It would be unfortunate for it to become a place where people are too uncomfortable to do so. Everyone's story is unique, I applaud the accomplishments and milestones, however I think it's important to remember that wherever you are in your journey it all started with that first pound and the support of family, friends and/or people on forums like this. So play nice, and If you have nothing nice to say, don't say ( or post in this case) anything.

    LOL! This is very true........
  9. I SOOO feel your pain. Wt loss has been really slow for me as well! I stayed in the hospital an extra 3 days because I couldn't tolerate any Fluid, by the time I got home I looked like the stay puff marshmallow man! So far, a month out, I have lost 28lbs including the wt before surgery. I gather that the average wt loss is about 1.5-2 lbs a week. Be patient, don't lose faith, it will come off. Drink your Water, your Protein drinks, and increase your activity as you can tolerate. You will do great!

5 Days Post Op And Down :(

New to this site, I am 4 weeks post op. struggling with a lot of different things. Felt the same way in the beginning, not really sure what to expect. I eat, but then am hungry again in a couple of hours, and i get like a bubbling sensation in my stomach... What the heck is that all about? Not sure if I'm not eating enough at a time, too fast or if it's just "head hunger". Like some of us on the site, my eating habits and food choices revolved around " what diet should I be on today?" and then I'd choose food accordingly. For me, it's a huge adjustment to being able to eat normal food but in small quantities. Love the fact that I had the surgery, just would like to know if how I feel is " normal". Also, lost 30 pounds total, but mt weight loss has really slowed down.. Any thoughts?
