Love reading all these. Years ago , I am almost 63, I wanted to do stand up comedy. I use to own a custom furniture factory with my husband and after 9/11 we lost the business we had for over 26 years and I miss that. I liked helping with colors, materials etc. I miss that a lot. I also miss my wonderful life we lived. If you're young enough follow your dreams. When my sons lived home I let them try all sorts of jobs. Now they both own their own businesses

What do you miss most after Weight Loss Surgery?
dylanmiles23 replied to Menelly's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Today I told my husband I miss lobster. I can't chew it. Nothing else. I gave up soda over 15 years ago because I burp real bad from it. Don't miss it. I drink a real lot of iced tea. But I brew my own decaf. I don't use lemon. WLS is smart choices not a diet. I eat almost everything but eat smart and stop when full. Good luck with your decision. Healthy is more important to me than a soda. -
Congratulation on getting healthy. WLS is not a cure all. It's a tool that takes a lot of work. I am healthier. Not as thin as I would like but I don't always eat perfectly and exercise enough. I am to blame. I don't like sharing my WLS with most people. I never share pounds lost.

You sound like me. I don't share pounds lost with anyone other than my husband. Most people don't know I had WLS. Welcome to this wonderful site. Enjoy your new you Arlene

Ladies, facial hair after WLS.... WTH, why is it worse? And does it get better?

Can you use it under arms? Ty -
Always need new clothes. Don't need an excuse to look the part. I love reading about everyone's days, thank you. Have a great Father's Day to everyone. Animals, count. Going to my brother's house tomorrow with my grandsons, my son is a caterer and has to feed 700 LaCross players. Arlene

Divorce rates and WLS. (link to article inside)
dylanmiles23 replied to bflblog's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am married almost 44 years Been with him since I was 15 and he was 16. Been fat and thin and the same with him. But we are partners forever. Next month is 2 years with the band. The best thing I ever did for my health Maybe people stay together because they are afraid no one will want them obese. Then they get healthy and people pay attention to them. They never knew that way of life Arlene -
Ex-Friend Keeps Writing Negatively About Me on Different Blogs and Web Sites

Sorry to hear all this. Time to have a lawyer write her a letter. She needs to stop It is her problem not yours. -
Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
dylanmiles23 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I guess as long as you're healthy that is all that matters In my adult life I have never been smaller than a 14. I would love to wear a 12 pant. Time will tell Also being over 60 makes a difference -

Welcome to the NEW weight loss medications forum!
dylanmiles23 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
I was on the trial for Merida with Dr Blackburn many many years ago. It did work as long as I was on them. Would I ever take another weight pill after that, NO. I love my band and feel you can live without quack pills. -
I am almost 64 and just checked , I don't have the gobble neck. I just have excess skin every where else.

Stay Hydrated – It’s Getting Hot!
dylanmiles23 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
You mention only 2 cups of hot or iced tea. Why? I brew my own decaf iced tea and drink around 8-12 cups a day. I have told my doctor and he never said anything. I hate flavored drinks. Thank you Arlene -
300 pounds later....am I living a dream or is this in fact reality?

A new small NSV for me. I needed a white belt for my summer white jeans and shorts. Being that I had a massive huge waist I bought an xl. Too big and they didn't have a smaller size, so took it and had holes made. Was in Kohl's the other day and bought 2 size large belts and they fit and past the first hole. My weight has not changed in about 1 year but I guess inches are changing which is wonderful for me. Yesterday I wore a size large maxi skirt from Gap and I looked great. I don't know how to down load pictures, that is why you never see any of me. Needed to share. Thanks for listening. Arlene

Your Big Goal Celebration
dylanmiles23 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Good morning everyone. Today I am wearing a maxi skirt!! I actually think I look decent for an old fart. I am almost 64! WOW, where time go. Wearing this skirt is something I never would have even looked at before my wonderful Band. I also tried on a maxi sun dress, that I love but it was more than I wanted to spend. The skirt at the Gap outlet was $10. I don't know how to post pictures so that is why no one knows what I look like other than CG because I text her my pictures of new hair dos and outfits. Enjoy this great day. In Boston it will be in the 80's today and rain and 70's tomorrow. Typical of NE. Arlene -
Congratulations!!!!!!! My nephew does those and they look so hard. Good luck with your brother. Sometimes seeing is believing and he saw how wonderful you're doing. Have a great restful Sunday. Arlene

I love Edy's sf Popsicles that have real fruit like strawberry kiwi and 2 others. They are the best out there. Also for bad taste I was told the listerine breath strips. I still use them. -
Your Big Goal Celebration
dylanmiles23 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have never thought of something when I get to goal. I don't do tattoos and I am too old to start now and my religion doesn't believe in them even though my sons have them. My full length beaver coat is a size 22 and I am 14-16 so maybe a new fur would make me happy. Boston gets cold in the winter. I have my mother's mink, it falls around the middle of the thigh and it's a little big now, too. Last winter I wanted knee high boots because I could now zipper them but I wear a size 12 and after buying 2-3 pairs and having to return each pair because they were uncomfortable I got pissed. Nordstrom's sells my size but they are $2-400. a pair and that is over budget. Enjoy your weekend everyone, I hope you all have great weather. Arlene -
