How many calories do you eat a day?

I would call your doctor, ASAP! You have too many health issues. Gaining weight, in my eyes, shows you need a tool, The Band. I wish you luck with trying to get your surgery.

Every where. A lot people lose in their shoe size, but never me, the size 12. My width did go down to a medium from a wide. I take my measurements once a month but didn't think of it until 1 1/2 months after the surgery. I have been bad for about 2 months so I have not taken any but I may soon.

I know it is on my food list but I think only 1 tablespoon. That isn't a lot of protein, though. Check with your dietitian because they all have their own rules. I eat natural chunky.

Jim-that is so sweet, I could cry. I think doing something like this together is so much easier. No more junk food to tempt you with. Congratulations Kelli!!!

I have missed your check ins. WOW-your new weight. It's great when you love exercise. Good for you.

Would never had known they were all you!! Congratulations

you can't have any food until your doctor tells you can. Your surgery has to heal and your stomach get use to having a band around it. Call the doctor in the morning.

When i am on the liquids after I fill I live on Popsicles and lots of hot tea. Maybe do something that keeps you away from the kitchen area. Also, you can't eat with wet nails. Sometimes I use top coat every night. My doctor has me on 3 days of liquids then 3 days of mushies before I get to eat real food.

Mazel Tov on losing 50 fat ass pounds! I always say I lost a small child.Your new picture looks great with your new and smaller sized clothes.

I am very happy to hear from you, again. The beginning of the school year is always very busy. Sometimes you just have to walk away from your desk and say it's me time for 15 minutes. Have a great Labor Day weekend and relax with your wonderful husband.

Politely I say mind your own 'f' business. That is one thing I will not share. My sons don't ask me and I don't tell anyone except my husband. A family friend asked and when I told my MIL she couldn't believe how rude that person was for asking. Next week starts the Jewish New Year and I will be seeing people I have not seen in one year, so it will be the same answer, personal info I do not share. I feel ashamed for letting myself get to 268 pounds is the truth and at this time in my life I can't share pounds lost. Maybe years from now I will tell. Most people I will see at the holidays have no idea I had WLS, another personal thing I don't share.

You look amazing with your wonderful smile and great looking husband. Knowing that it took you 2 years to get to goal just made my day. Thank you. I have been around the same weight for 3-6 months (lost count) and feel like a failure. Now I don't. I am 13 months banded and thought it would take 1 1/2-2 years so I guess that is right. Keep in touch with us we all need encouraging words.

Good evening, On Yahoo I was just reading an article that said Tim Gunn thinks it is awful the way designers treat plus size women. Finally someone on our side. He said if he was on the 8th floor at Saks in NY he would jump through the window because the clothes are that bad. I am not in plus size any more but I totally understand what he is talking about. When I wore plus size I wore a lot of Ralph Lauren. The jeans fit the best and lasted forever. Maybe now the designers will listen because Tim has a lot clout!!

I am having grilled corn on the cob tonight. Chew chew chew!

I eat out all the time and eat from the kid's menu a lot. I also will order a small salad and for $4-$7. extra add a protein, like chicken, shrimp or salmon. I do that one a real lot and love it. So far no has said anything to me for eating small portions, which I like.

I only use the card with people who know about the band. Not everyone knows about it. -
Medical Card for discounts at restaurants

why? The filet on the kid's menu was 4 oz, exactly what I am allowed. The salmon was around the same weight for $11. and on the adults about 8oz for $18. I see nothing wrong with using the card. -
Wonderful not being hungry. Did your dietitian give you a menu to follow about your food intake? I know I am suppose to have at least 20g of protein at a meal. Best to ask the experts what they want you to consume daily. Each doctor has their own view on this.

Medical Card for discounts at restaurants

I have used the card many times. I live in the Boston area and one of my favorite restaurants lets you order from the children's menu. They have wonderful grilled salmon and grilled steak tips with 2 sides. The other day I had the salmon with green beans (fresh ones) and mashed potatoes. I used the card at a fancy steak house and got the filet mignon from the children's menu and a few weeks later the same place gave me a hard time. At my doctor's office there was a form from Lap Band with a temporary card and then I got the real one a few weeks later. -

Having a hard time accepting my decision to get banded

I enjoyed reading your story. When I met with my original surgeon, long story, I said I felt like a failure because I needed the Band! She said I was not a failure but I was helping myself with a tool. She was right. I love my tool. I love no more 'fat stores'. I can fit into booths in restaurants and no longer have to ask for table and chairs. I can keep up with my grandsons. Don't think that getting the band means you are a failure and need help. We all need help everyday. In other ways. By the way, did you ever model? good luck with your choice. Maybe go to the support meetings with your husband. I go every month and most of the time my husband comes with me for support.
