They taste fine.

I buy most of mine from Bariatric Advantage. They are for WLS people. The prices are great, 90 day supplies. I buy at Target chewable fish oil gummies and I also have chewable fiber supplements. Yes I take about 12-15 chewables a day but I have them before I have my morning protein shake. Good luck with your journey.

Yes it does do something with tightening. The conversation started with Halloween candy because I said I love peppermint patties and then came the Protein shake and the protein bars.

Need help making a pre-op checklist

Good luck. I love my band. Things I did not do before the band are take pictures, front, side, back any. I have noticed that some people when they take their before pictures they keep the clothes and every so often take up dates with those clothes to show how big the clothes are. Great idea. Also, I never took measurements. I do regret that. Other than that, I can't think of anything. -
Sorry to hear that but I always believe when in doubt, call the doctor. They always have the right answers. Feel better. Just remember the seasons are changing.

Maybe take him to some meetings so he can learn that it is a 'Tool' to help because we can all lose weight we just can't keep it off. Good luck and do it for you and no one else.

Woman to hand out 'obesity letter' to overweight trick-or-treaters
dylanmiles23 replied to Jim1967's topic in Rants & Raves
I just saw this and think it is awful. When my children were a little older they got to choose about 5 pieces of candy and then I took them to Toys R Us and they got a toy instead. The best one was I gave my sons pillow cases for their candy one year. My obese son's case had a hole on the seam and he blamed me that I did it on purpose because he lost most of his candy. It was funny to me but not to a 9 or 10 year old. Happy Halloween to everyone. -
Love you're new picture. Stay warm.

Congratulations on your big weight loss!! I think it is great that you will now be able to do things with the boys. I know playing sports with them is important. I have 2 sons and 3 grandsons No questions is off limits here. Just ask away.

on Dr. Oz they were talking about how friends talk about 'Fat Talk' I am guilty. They said to think about good things about yourself and nothing to do with your body. I am going to try that.

Am I doing something wrong????????
dylanmiles23 replied to Corridor72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would not worry if you are doing everything right. is it the time of month for you? I never thought of cheating because I was so afraid I would mess up everything, so just keep doing what you are doing. I see on this site about people that cheat really bad and then wonder, what went wrong. Maybe keep away from the 'metal monster', I should talk, I weigh myself about 6 times a day/night. -

There are different Slim Fasts. There is one now that has more Protein which fills you longer than the regular one. Have you tried that one? As for not losing pounds, are your clothes getting bigger? I know I retain fluids and from bed time until I get up in the morning my weight can change by 4-7 pounds. i am a scale junkie!! I admit it. Good luck. In the end you will be fine. Since February or March I am down maybe 10 lbs and I am fine with that. My clothes got a little big and my next pair of pants may be a smaller size! -
Sorry to hear that your brother is like that. When I first met my original surgeon I said to her that I felt it was the easy way out and she no it isn't. You have to work hard at it. She was right. I do work hard and do things now that I didn't do when I was heavier, like want to go for a walk or go to the gym.

Take me to a restaurant?
dylanmiles23 replied to Bandista's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I couldn't chew lobster. Good luck. I got stuck even with the claw and my husband got 2 lobster rolls while I walked around a restaurant. I can eat and chew well cold Water lobster tails. Happy birthday next week. -
I love and buy only the Cliff Builder's 20g protein bars in chocolate mint. The best price or at least around Boston is at Target. My dietitian told me to buy those because they have the 20g of protein. I have also had the chocolate and chocolate peanut butter, but the mint I love. I also keep them cold.

Very interesting. I wonder why. Maybe because with the band the doctor sees you more often and for more years of follow ups? What state/country are you from? I am from the Boston area and there are lots of 'band' doctors. I know mine still does them.
