Oh no Ses! That is annoying. Are you being banded publicly?Susannah
-
Jacqui did you see the story on A Current Affair about the mums that shop at places like Supre? I reckon if the clothes make you feel happy and confident, why not wear what you like. Susannah
-
I use it lightheartedly. I know that I will always be a fattie even when all my weight is off. I think we should take back the negative power of that word from others who would seek to use it in a nasty way. Sus
-
Exactly!!!! Hee Hee.:biggrin1: How good is it not being a fattie anymore!!! Susannah
-
Yay Mez!!!:clap2: It must be ace to just be able to pick whatever you want. You really pulled off the strapless style in your wedding dress too by the way. Not many can do that. Susannah

Hi All, Bron glad to hear you are feeling better. Mez, thanks for the link. I have worked out I could claim about $400 back just off the medical expenses rebate alone, which is good. Chickie, how are you finding running in winter? Is it harder to get motivated? I may buy a treadmill with my tax return money. Jacqui I saw the pic of your daughter in the before and after pic section of the board. She is a blond bombshell! Mark, I hear you regarding the port. Hope nothing is wrong with yours. Forgot to report to you all that my latest NSV is that I can now feel my port easily!!!:biggrin1::clap2: Other NSV'S to report for me are that I now fit in chairs with arms easily. I can get up off the floor like greased lightening, and I can run up a flight of stairs without puffing. Loving the band! What are all your NSV'S people? Would love to hear them. Susannah
-
Can you claim that out of pocket expense out of your taxes? I paid $3500 out of pocket. I know that it was not claimable through medicare etc. What is the procedure for this? Susannah
-
There is always one nutball! Mate you are nuttier than squirrel shit. Susannah:cool:

Hi Mark, A change is as good as a holiday as they say. How are you? You are the solitary bloke on this part of the board.:biggrin1: I did my tax this morning. Heaps of fun. Not!!!!! I am going to go for a big long fast walk this arvo. Hi Mez. Susannah

Hi Bron, Call your surgeon's office on Monday and see what they say. I understand that Dr Nottle is a very busy surgeon, so maybe his nurse could give you some advice? Which band do you have? Susannah
-
Gday, Meanwhile I am finding it interesting how all the Yanks are singing the praises of the "New" AP Band! It has been available in Australia for a while now. It is great to be ahead in something! It doesn't matter which type of band that you have really though. All the bands are very good. What a tool! I got to midday today and thought " I haven't eaten!". The band has taken away that desperate need to eat for me. Susannah

Is there any need for this sarcastic nastiness? Chickie has worked damn hard to get to where she is. I am sure she thought long and hard before being banded, and was informed about the risks etc. What is your motivation for posting here Blah Blah? Is it just to provoke people? People here want to share their banding journey with others, and offer and receive advice and support. If this is your motivation, you will get lots of support here. If you have another motive, you may want to "Buzz off" Queen Bee. Susannah

Welcome to bandland Blah Blah. CBS are world leaders in lap band placement as far as I am concerned. They are second to none in Australia. But hey we are biased!!!!: Susannah
-
Too bloody right Jacqui! Well said. Susannah
-
Yep I watched it. When he got emotional I think everyone of us that has been obese and have gone through the pain and stress of it all, were tearing up alongside him. Susannah
-
Well done!!!! What is your secret of success? Susannah

Hi All, Blah Blah was banded today. Yay. Congrats.:clap2: Insubordination, Thanks for the good wishes. Beena, I would recommend my Surgeon, Mr Gary Crosthwaite. Mark, Good to hear from you. Vegas sounded like a real hoot! Dionne, it is good to get an update from you. You should be proud of your weight loss so far.:clap2: I would recommend Mr Crosthwaite for you also. Bron, Well done with your loss also. I haven't had pain after a fill luckily. I hope it all settles down for you. Jacqui, Now that it is winter are all your fun runs etc on hiatus also? I hear you re constipation. I do all the right things to avoid it, but going can be an ordeal after you have been banded, to the point of tears for me. Just want to wish Meredith and her new husband Joe all the best. She was recently married, and she looked beautiful in the pics. Good on ya luv!!!:biggrin1: As for me, I have been hibernating a bit due to this cold weather. I am well though and on track with it all. Susannah

Hey Blythe, Keep up the good work with the exercise. It will pay off. I like you also do not like to eat much meat, so I eat tofu, tuna, eggs etc. Bronnie, Sixteen kilos lost! Yay.:clap2: Well done. OMG you would not believe the amount of hair I have lost. It has been falling out in clumps for more than two months now. I have lost a signifigant amount. I am lucky that I have lots of thick hair, but it is now very noticeable. I will up my protein, but I have also been taking Biotin tablets. Apparently it can also be caused by a delayed reaction to general anasthetic. Insubordination, I am under a hundred kilos now! Keep up the good fight girls. Susannah
-
Hey Alex, Good luck with it cookie.:clap2: Susannah

Hi There, I would go to see your doctor to have it checked. I have regular muscle twitching all over my body, but I have Multiple Sclerosis and that is the reason for it. Not saying you have MS, but that any new medical issue should be checked. Susannah

My name is Gibson and I'm a message board addict.

Hi Gibson, I am a 37 year old woman from Australia. Welcome.:biggrin1: Susannah -

Can you still drink cokes with the Lap band?
susannah replied to mommy2kyler's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Gday, The general rule is that you cant drink fizzy drinks anymore. Don't worry though, you will soon not miss them. I have not had a fizzy drink since the beginning of January and I never even think about it. The body becomes used to not having it. Susannah -
How good is it to be back in your old clothes! That is sweet.:clap2: My older brother lives in Brooklyn, in Carroll st. Do you know it? I am in Australia. Susannah
