Hi All, Hi Veronica, Nice name, that is my mother's name also. The Optifast diet leading up to banding can be hard. I was lucky because I was banded in summer, so drinking the shakes in warmer weather was easier etc as I was not craving winter type foods. Not long for you now anyway so just hang in there. Hi Bronnie. It is great to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words. You are also doing very well with your 13 kg loss. Yay!:biggrin1: I hope I haven't forgotten anybody here. Sounds a bit elitist to me to be honest. Lets just give perks to those willing to make a financial contribution per chance? It is important to remember that for some people just the process of getting banded has stretched them financially and they may not be able to contribute any money. Just stick with the ads I reckon, and just once again ignore what you are not interested in. Lets end this talk of dividing people down financial lines. I wouldn't want anybody here to feel less of a person because they are struggling financially and could not afford to contribute. Let the big end of town pay for the site I reckon. Susannah

Hey Bubble, I reckon there are probably many religious people who are out there doing good deeds and helping others, no doubt. I just can't stomach The Benny Hinn's of this world, preying on scared and vulnerable people during the worst time of their lives. Hinn tries to BS people that major chronic illness can be cured by faith and "Sowing a seed" of ca$hola into his ministry. Mate I have MS and there is no cure for it. I will probably live a normal life with challenges along the way, but cut the crap. I mean really.:mad: Susannah

Hey, Another thing. I sometimes watch Dr Phil and they have wives with husbands that have mistresses and download porn etc. For me guys downloading porn does not shock or upset me at all. Isn't that what guys just do? I think porn for guys is about visual stimulation and not any emotional connection etc. It is not like they love these girls. They love or don't love their wives. Women are more emotional creatures though I think by nature. In France it is ho hum for some male politicians to have a mistress. Gday, I do a combination of walking outdoors and Leslie Sansone "Walk away the pounds" 3 mile walk etc. She is very upbeat and chirpy. I have MS, so I do the best that I can and as much as I can. I usually do 5 days per week. I have days when I feel so weak and shakey that it is hard, but I force myself. Other days I feel strong and well. This is the nature of this disease. You all are going great guns.:clap2: Keep it up bandsters! Susannah

Hey, Australian 60 minutes did a big expose on Benny Hinn a couple of years ago. He had the chutzpah to tell some parents of terminally ill children that if they would only believe more faithfully ,their children would be healed completely. Absolute shyster in my book. Hey Jacqui, There are many good things about living further out too, such as lots of fresh air and lots of parks and room to move. Each has their advantages. Green I am renting but I wish I could afford to buy inner city. As Jacqui said it has become very expensive here. I also love shopping and the cafe life too. My older sister and her kids live in the country in a very beautiful little town, and I enjoy escaping up there when I need to leave the madness of the city rat race. Susannah

Hey Green, Sometimes I can't sleep and I turn on the TV and those scary televangelists are on. Something about Benny Hinn really creeps me out to be honest. He does the whole "healing" circus sideshow where he pushes people to the ground violently etc etc. It is so fake. Who is auditing the money he is fleecing out of the faithful flock also? Susannah

I only have 2.5mls in my band. They are very happy with my ongoing weight loss. Hey, I take Centrum broken in half every morning. I am also taking Biotin for my hair loss. I have the thickest hair but have been losing it in clumps lately. I was told it should grow back normally once I have lost all my weight and it has stabilised. Susannah
