I think that smile says it all. You look great keep up the good work!! -
I was 6 days post op before I had a bm. Are you having gas? If so that is a good sign. F.Y.I. that frist bm will most likely be you most "solid" one for awhile.

Embarassing Question- When Do I Go #2 Again?!
maxskillz replied to jennyblue111's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was exactly like Nathalie, 6 days post-op, not much and it has been pretty much liquid since then. -
Good to hear you are doing better Rissy. Donny, I'm 9 days post op and I could entertain. May not be like it once was with multiple trips to "breastrants" for wings like it has been in the past. But I have plenty of energy to entertain.

How Long Did It Take For Your Incisions To Heal?
maxskillz replied to GiiNaGiiNa408's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on the 7/30 and had pain until 2 days ago. Especially around the large one. It would really hurt when I would rollover in bed. Funny thing is it just stopped hurting when I work up 2 days ago. So that was about 7 days post op. When I was at my post op visit the PA said that one could be tender for 4-8 weeks depending on how you heal. -
One Week Post-Op Recheck...
maxskillz replied to jhbk2008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here two week of full liquids that I started today. Then to weeks for mushies and can start solid at 6 weeks out. -
Sounds like you have a great positive attitude. Keep it up! There will probably skin issues but my thoughts are I'll handle those when I get to them. Keep your attitude I understand that things will get hard a rough and your attitude will get you though. I'm only 1 week post op, and personally things have gone much better that I thought. I know I will be tested eventually and we have to be positive. So my advice, remaim positive no matter what happens.

Went Back To The Hospital
maxskillz replied to phillygirl8133's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry to hear that. Heating pads have helped me also. I'm a week out, and still am very sore. The gas pain is gone, but my left side can get bad especially with any rotational movement. I'm a side sleeper and I always end up on my left side. I think that is my main problem, have you looked at how you sleep? -
Surgery Is Tomorrow!

Good luck, and start walking as soon as you are able. It will help alot. Even if it is in the middle of the night. It may take that long for all the effects of the anastesia to subside. -
I had the same feelings, and I will admit I visited a couple of places the weekend before I started my pre op. Funny thing is the night before I was to start my pre op diet. I wanted Oreo Cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory. I drove 30 minutes to get it and they were out. I was so intent on the oreo that I didn't get any of the 30 other kind. I walked upstairs to the movie theater and watched a movie with only a water to drink. I think something clicked with me about food that very moment, because I found the pre op diet easy. I didn't want to cheat once. Only thing I had was 2 cups of chicken bullion vs. one cup of broth. Just find a routine with your pre op and you will do great.

Also, it could be the scale. At one point I had one that would give me 3-4 lb differences. Needless to say I got rid of that one. My new one is very accurate. Usually within 1/2 lb of the expensives one at my doctor or gym. Also I measure with the scale in the same place everytime, that does help.

I Got Insurance Approval Today!

Congratulations!!!!!!! -
I was very apprehensive about the 2 week pre op diet. I didn't think I would be able to do it. Funny thing is a couple of days in it was no big deal. I set a timer for each shake. 7:30 - Wake and Shake, 11:30 - Shake It up, 3:30 - Shake, Rattle and Roll, 7:30 - Rock a Bye Shaky. I know a bit corny but it gave me focus. Do you get chicken broth. I will admit this was the one area that I changed up a bit. Instead of chicken broth from the store I made it with bullion cubes. Actually less calories so i talked myself having 2 cups instead of one. It must not have hurt too bad I ended up loosing 23 lbs on the pre op diet. Just get you a plan whatever it needs to be and stick to it. Make it a routine and you will do great.

Feeling Free From The "prison" Of Hunger.
maxskillz replied to smartypants's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm only 1 week postop today, and the one thing that has freaked me out is how little im craving food. Ive been to the movies multiple times and had just a bottle of water. That used to be hot dog, nachoes, candy, popcorn. At least 3 of those and a coke. I cooked for my kids, no issue. Just wondering if im wierd, or is this normal. Im down 18 lbs since surgery, total of 40 with my 2 weeks preop diet. Other than soreness im overjoyed with how things are going. -
