    There is a great recipe for quinoa and black Beans. I add a bit of textured veggie protien to up the protien content. It is great.

  4. WTG...I know the feeling. I was 2 months yesterday and I'm down about 105. 70 since starting the pre-op diet.
  5. I took 5 days off. I would say it depends on the type of job you have. If it is a desk job you can most likely go back sooner than if you are on your feet all day.

    I've changed it to 800 to start. You have to play around with percentages to get proteins close to what you want.
  7. Have you ever drank beer or wine? Did you like the taste of those the frist time you drank them? Probably not, but like most people you kept drinking them for some reason, and i bet it wasn't for a reason nearly as good as you have to not use sugar. That would be your success at losing weight and your health. My point being is you can get use to it if you give it a chance, and you will be much better off. Drinking high calorie drinks like sweet tea will set you up for failure. We don't want to see anyone fail around here.

    I used the RTD shakes. Not a bad deal, 18 for $24, and they have 30 g. of proteins in each.

    Go enjoy yourself. Take you a couple of rtd protien shakes and you will do great. You have to start sometime retraining yourself about food and social activities. I have faith you can do it. Heck today i was at a "breastaurant" watching games. I ate 5 lemon pepper wings. 3 months ago that would have been 20 with mozzarella sticks, and apple turnovers with ice cream for dessert. If i can only eat 5 wings you can resist that nasty pizza.

    I find myself not hungry at all. If i didnt have reminders on my phone, id forget to eat. To me now eating is like filling up the gas tank. It is much less about the experience, and trust me i loved the experience. To a tune of 357 lbs. Just had my one month post op and i'm at 261 today. You will really be surprised how little food interest you. It actaully freaked me out at first.

    Nervous About Denial.

    If you do get denied, don't give up. Keep trying! I've seen multiple stories on here where people were denied a couple of times before approval. For some ins. companies it seems that first request denial is standard practice. So, don't let a denial get you down, wear the insurance company down.
