Annnnddd even though I haven't lost a single pound in I don't know how long I tried on some shorts this morning that I previously hadn't been able to zip and for some reason they zipped up and were margianally comfortable if I hold my breath. But at least they zipped, when before the zipper teeth were so far away from each other they were practically in different zip codes.

laura - oh my gosh! What a trip! You're a better girl than I am. I would have been whining and crying. I actually love New York... Juan's brother lived there for about four years and we would go and stay with him when we had a chance. Usually in the summer and the weather is miserable during that time but we always had a good time. Suzie - washing dishes by flashlight?? OMG woman, you are dedicated. I don't need much of an excuse to leave the dishes much less no lights!!! TracyK - AWWW tracy!! That sucks that you can't come!! Okay, let us know when you're free and we'll plan it again. Michelle - glad to know i'm not alone in my eating. it sucks but right now the only thing i can do is take it one hour at a time. Jane - be open to everyone who comes your way. You never know who you might hit it off with! So...my mom and dad leave on Wednesday for Monterrey. My dad is getting a tummy tuck done. He's super duper nervous and being such a baby about it but I'm sure that once it's over he'll feel so much better. He carries his weight all in his gut. He's got skinny legs, skinny back/butt, skinny arms and shoulders. He only ever gains weight on his gut so he finally decided to go get it chopped off. Wish i was him!! I'm sure he'll do great but at the same time I'm also a little worried. He's my dad, center of all of our lives. We love him so much and would never ever want him to be in any sort of pain or discomfort. We're doing Father's Day dinner this Tuesday night since he'll be in Mexico for two weeks. I'm excited and nervous for him... I didn't get anything that I wanted to get done this weekend. I hate when that happens. I just lazied around the house and wasted the weekend away. Yuck. So tonight I've got to get my ass moving. I've got to get my house cleaned up and sparkling. I've got my sisters house sitting this weekend while I go to Austin with some friends. I don't want them staying in a dusty pigsty!! He he he... At least all my laundry is done....

Suzie - my sister is doing good. She's lost like 30 lbs already. She does struggle though. She got her first fill and it didn't do much so she is having to diet and she hates that. What specific days are ya'll thinking? I'm so glad it's Thursday. I've got plans to go to the pool with girlfriends on Saturday and my Sunday will be spent cleaning my house. I've really neglected it these past few weeks. Well no, actually it's been a few months! I'm so bad... Haven't dusted or vacummed or nothing. I've pretty much just done the absolute basic. I've got tons to do... Yuck. My parents house is almost ready. We're only waiting on the carpet to be installed but unfortunately the one they want is on back order so they are waiting on it to come in. Then comes moving day. The day I've dreaded since this plan came into fruition. That's going to be the worst. She's got soooooo much stuff. I'm telling her that we're only moving what she actually wants and everything else will stay at her old house and we're just gonna have a huge garage sale. Do ya'll like to go to garage sales? I loooooveeee them. And flea markets too. Well back to work for me... Today is our order/inventory day and i'm supposed to be in the warehouse instead i'm here!

TracyK - I'M SO JEALOUS of you being able to be a stay home mom! But you earned it and you deserve it!! Your little Macy doesn't realize how lucky she just became... Terry - I forgot to mention how wonderful you and your family looked in your son's graduation picture. Your baby boy is all grown up! Suzie - how much longer till the pool is ready?? I'm sure you can't wait. You can wait until July to turn on your A/C? Oh my gosh, that must be heaven. We turn our A/C's on in February here in Houston. And they run until December! Okay Terry and TracyK... where are we meeting and how quickly is this happening? I need a Violet Hug!

My doctor didn't say that I couldn't have a fill. We both looked at the restriction level and we both said, WOW,that's tight... I always get my fills done with flouro and a barium swallow. She does the barium swallow to see how fast it moves through your band. Mine was just a thin thin line going through. So I left without being filled. But that's where I'm confused... Why can I eat like a normal person if I'm so tight and my pouch isn't enlarged? I'm going to just email her and see if I can come see her this weekend...

Hi Girls!!! Sorry I haven't been by! I had a wonderful weekend and then so busy here at work yesterday. The rest of the week is bad too. I'm really so sick of this and you guys know i've been complaining about my job for months now. I told my mom's friend I am seriosly interested in the position that she is offering me and she's going to see if she can meet my list of "demands", he he he. The salary was good but I wanted to be able to come in really early and leave early so that miss traffic, I also want some sort of transportation allowance. Either gas reinbursement or Park and Ride tickets. Also thanks to the HR violet I made sure to ask for vacation and sick days upfront. We'll see what her bosses say... So i've been in a eating rut lately. Everyday I tell myself, today I will be good. Everyday I manage to completely screw myself over. When I went to go get my fill done last week she said I was pretty tight but then why can I eat so much food?? I know there is no way in hell any of ya'll can eat the quantity of food that I can eat. Even in the AM now I have no restriction. And for me, if it goes down then I will eat it. When I had restriction, that's when I was losing. I knew things hurt and would get stuck so I just stayed away from them or I would only be able to eat a little bit of something, taking tiny bites. Right now I can pop a regular sized bite in my mouth, chew it a few times and swallow, no problem. What the heck?? I'm so frustrated with myself. Bread, pasta, nothing gives me any problems. And she checked my band with flouro so I know that it's in there and the restriction is ok and that my pouch isn't enlarged. Ugghhh... One day at a time... My dad just came back from a deep sea fishing trip and he caught enough Mahi Mahi to feed the family for a year. I'm gonna go home and defrost some and make that for dinner. Going to the gym tonight. That's a step in the right direction! Talk to ya'll tomorrow girls!

Pammy - your bouganvilia look beautiful!! Mine are coming along good. Now that I'm basically ignoring them they are blooming like crazy! Go figure... Judy - Cracklings are fried out fat! Don't wanna get to technical but basically it's the fatty layer of skin on the cow. They chop it up, dehydrate it and then throw it in a fryer. And yes Terry - I also like the ones that are teeth breakers! I chop them up and put them in a taco. Scales: So I'm finally back down to what I was pre-Violets party. My dang body is just loving 232 though. I had been stuck at 232 for a bit before and now i'm stuck at 232 again. I seriously need to move more. I've been kinda static since even before the violets bash. This week has been super busy here at work and next week will be more of the same. I am very seriously considering the move to the new job... Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We're gonna drive down to Galveston and enjoy some of this sunshine. We'll be back Sunday night. When I started at my current job we only got Thanksgiving and Christmas off. That's it! No health benefits and only one week paid time off once you were with the company for 2 years. Slowly but surely we've managed to get my boss to change his mind about stuff but it was rough at first. Now we've got all major holidays off, paid time off if you've been here one year...health benefits, sick days... But like I said, when I was hired I never ever thought to ask about any of this!

ummm, yes i do need a TT. big time. I can hide it very well!! but anyhoo, yes Terry, I would definetly do the park and ride. it's only about 10 min from my house and I would ride the bus in to work every morning. but yes, the commute is a huge factor. but again, there is a possibility that once i get going I might be able to work from home a few days a week. All this I would have to clear up with her before I start of course. And thank you Tracy! Those are things that I never ever think to ask. I always go straight for the salary and never worry about benefits but last time I interviewed for a job I was 22 so I didn't really worry about benefits, ha!

Pros - better salary, chance for advancement, great benefits, would be able to work from home on some days, better schedule, I would love my boss (!!!) Cons - looong commute (yes, it's at Memorial Hermann in the medical center), more stress (??) That's about it for the cons... And even the stress I think I can deal with. The long commute is what kinda scares me. I also feel that since she is my mom's friend that if I were to come work for her and that I wouldn't be what she needed that she would have qualms about letting me know just because i'm my mom's daughter. You know what I mean?? I'm confident that I can do the job but what if she just doesn't like me? I don't want her to feel 'stuck' with me...

Laura - I tracked your package and you should be getting it today. I sent you some shirts. If they don't work just pass 'em along to someone who might want them.

Oh pammy, I hope you feel better after your fill. Terry is absolutely right, that was way too much of a fill. I get mad at my doctor who only goes like .2-.4 at a time but so far I've done real good and thank goodness no PB'ing. I went Saturday to get a fill but she said I was already at a good restriction, that my pouch wasn't enlarged and that I just needed to pay attention to what went in my mouth. I'm like, are you serious? I eat HEALTHY food and I lose weight? LOL, she cracked up laughing. She told me that I can't let the band do all the work. I was hoping to be one of those few lucky people that don't get hungry when they've got good restriction. Nope, not Haydee... So... I've got a good job opportunity that is knocking on my door and why am I not acting on it? My mom's best friend is head of the accounting department at a very large prominent hospital here in Houston. She's been asking me to come work for her for months now. She needs someone responsible, organized and feels like I would do a good job. My starting salary would be 15% greater than my current salary is. Great benefits... Loooonnng commute. But I can deal with that. But I'm hemming and hawwing about it. I dunno know why... It's not like I love my job where I am at now. I actually can't stand it most days. Sigh... Gotta get my crap together...

My mom wanted to send some with me on our trip but I told her that I didn't think anyone would like them but several of the girls said they would love to try them. They're a good snack!
