Morning girls. I'm fixing to go get my cup of joe too Tracy. I've got a busy weekend ahead of me. My mom sold her old house in record time but the only stipulation was that they wanted to be able to move in next week. So we have to go get the house ready. UGH. Garage sale on Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow we sort through all her stuff and determine what's being sold and what's being taken by family and what's trash. Lovely...

Oh and Judy you mentioned this the other day and I forgot to comment on it. I was so dissapointed to hear about John Edwards too. Ugh, what he did was even more repugnant because his wife was so sick during this whole time. Why do men do this?? They have beautiful, successful women at home who are wonderful mothers to their children. I know it can't all be about sex. There is no way that you would risk your family, career, reputation on a good piece of ass...

WooHOO, I LOVED GRUENE!! and we need more time in San Antonio too... We didnt even make it to the market! Terry - that house looks amazing!! I would love to spend a week there, just relaxing. Maybe when I win the lotto, LOL.

Sounds great Michelle! I'm gonna get together with my family and we're each gonna present an idea and a price range and then my dad picks where he takes us. I know, so democratic huh? But anyways, I've always wanted to go see the Smithsonian and I just hope they all go for it... Kat - yep, we're already booking for next spring and summer. I already blocked out that weekend. If things change though, I'll figure something out. I wouldn't miss a chance to see my lovies...

pam - what is SO's question - when is the best time to visit Washington DC? I'm trying to plan a little family trip... Has anyone been when the lines aren't too bad and the prices are reasonable?

Hi girlies! How's everyone?? I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off these past few days.... Two weddings this past weekend. One Friday and one Saturday. Our business is really starting to pick up! Both brides were seriously laid back and very easy to work with so that was a major plus. When I do consultations with potential brides if I feel like they are going to be PITA's then I gently steer them away from our location. I do this because I love it and I don't want to have to start dreading this work. I had a consulation with this really sweet girl last week and then she called me and asked if she could come by with her older sister on Saturday as we were setting up for our other wedding. Well I met the older sister and decided that even if the bride was a sweet young thing that I wasn't going to be able to work with the pushy older sister. So I just flat out told her that I didn't think that we were what she was looking for... Am I mean?? I don't know how else to handle those situations... In my consultations I always make sure that I stress that this is a family run business, that we do this on the side, that we all have regular jobs, that this place is for low key, natural weddings... le sigh... Laura!! So glad you're back girly! Too funny about the threesome. How did Russell react to that?? OMG juan would have died. He would have been hiding from that couple the rest of the trip. Too funny... Michelle - glad to hear your sale went good! We're planning one for this weekend and I hope it's successful. I WANT MY GARAGE BACK. It's still full of stuff that didn't fit in my current home. We've been here for 1 year and still have stuff in boxes. Violets - after a move, how long before you got EVERY box opened and unpacked?? My aunt said that she finally opened her last box that was in her garage, 5 YEARS after a move... I don't feel so bad now, he he he... Kat - How did things go with the ceiling painting? That's just shitty of them to do that. Did your hubby end up painting more ceilings? Pamela - Spagetti (sp?) sounds so good. I haven't had it in about a year. I have lots of trouble with it. Not much stuff gives me trouble but that does... Who cooks more at home, you or Susanne?? TracyK - Tell Macy HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me!! Jane - what was wrong with your A/C? Mine was acting up too but Juan adjusted the Freon level. It was about 10lbs lower than it should have been. Now we only have to add more insulation to our attic and we'll be set. Violets Getway: Weekend of June 13th is not good for me. Juan's birthday is on the 14th and we've got a wedding scheduled for the 13th. Right now the weekend of the 23rd is clear and I can block it off and not schedule any weddings for that weekend if we decide. I'm up for pretty much anything. RELAXATION is the key word though. Like most of us, I'm go go go during my daily life so when I can take a few days off I like to spend relaxing, catching up, chit chatting... I would love to go on a CRUISE! Any sea sick Violets opposed to this idea?? Oh and and I'm voting for it to be another spouse free get-away. I love my Violets and can get completely relaxed with ya'll because I talk to ya'll every day. I know that all of our partners and spouses know about all of us and what's going on it our lives but for me it would still be weird. Okay, now I must tackle this huge load of invoices that I have sitting on my desk. FUN, not...

LOL, omg, i was rolling on the floor laughing. You're too funny... Hi girls!! I'm doing fine. Storm is passing through with no major drama. I might get to go home early though so that's a plus... Pamela - sometimes when I get in a funky mood do you know what helps me?? Excercise! I know, the horrors. But it really does. I get to sweating and I push myself really hard and I leave the gym really satisfied with myself. Jane - did you do more of the WiiFit? How do you like it so far? What "age" are you on it??
-
Michelle - I LOVE yard sales. Ditto what Pamela said. Price everything to go go go...

Hi girlies!! How was everyone's weekend? Hi Tracyk!! How have you been?? Is it raining over there yet? Hope you don't get hit with anything serious... Jane - all weekend long I planned on tackling this huge mound of clothes that I have to sort through. It's was going into three piles, yard sale, goodwill, give away to family. I think I sorted exactly two t-shirts. I always found something better to do! That always happens to me though... I'm just as bad as you for putting things off. I know I HAVE to tackle it tonight because I'm having dinner guests over tomorrow night. That's always been pretty much my motivition for tackling something. Invite someone over, then it HAS to get done! LOL, I know, I'm so bad!! So Saturday I spent puttering around the house. Pulling weeds, transferring plants around. I got a new cable service installed so I really couldn't leave the house. Then my mom and my sisters came over for dinner and a movie. We had a great time... Sunday we met some friends in Chinatown to eat some dim sum. YUM YUM. That was awesome. Then we went over to the Vietnamese supermarket and bought some beautiful king crab legs and some spring rolls for dinner that night. We got home and decided to install my new front door. That took us like 4 hrs! I never realized it would be so complicated!! But it's done now... Pam - So sorry about your dad. I can't imagine what you're going through. I am thankful that I still have both my parents. And I thank God everyday for them... I hope Laura got all her stuff done! I was praying for her Friday and then when I went back to read all the posts from this weekend I noticed that she ended up doing a 5 page paper!! That would suck!! TracyKS - hope you're having fun!! Piehole report for this weekend: Way too much crap to list... Piehole report for today: B: cup of coffee L: dunno yet... I'm gonna go right now and go get something... report back later...

I just got the one that Mary Jo recommended. It arrived Wednesday but haven't had time to crack it open. It's "Taming of the Chew". I'll let ya'll know what I learn as I'm reading it...

Oh and Terry, you mentioned Cafe Red Onion yesterday. That place is so good! Have you ever seen their ice cream sundaes? LOL! They are huge!! It's for like 6 people... Judy/Jane - The baseboard installation is going to cost me $1.00 a foot, materials not included. I think that sounds reasonable... What do ya'll think?
-
Terry - my sister erika is doing okay. She is going really slow so I'm pretty sure that she'll plateu alot sooner than I did. I lost lots of weight really quickly at the beginning because I was a model bandster. She doesn't have any support and she doesn't like me telling her anything. She drinks with her meals, usually soda, and she eats all the wrong foods. She loves mashed potatoes with tons of cheese and refried beans with lots of cheese. She never ever gets the recommended amount of water in or the recommended amount of protein in. Ugh, it's frustrating but she's gotta want it for herself.

when you find out let me know too...

So after the chicken salad that I had yesterday I ate the following: Afternoon snack: Rolled up piece of turkey lunchmeat Dinner: Some General Tso's chicken with noodles Midnight snack: couple bites of Juan's pecan ice cream (i didn't like it...weird... i usually don't discriminate against ice cream) This morning I celebrated getting down to my weight that's on my siggy by eating a glazed donut. How wonderful am I? Not. Anywhoo, couldn't resist. They were piping hot and it melted all the way down. I promise to be good the rest of the day. I brought pot roast with veggies for lunch and for dinner I'm making tilapia. Off to get started on my Water now...

I loooooovvveee chicken. I would eat it every day if I could. I've never ever had a problem with it, even the really dry kind. Laura - Sorry about your friend. I would just tell her the truth. Tell her they hired someone else and you have no clue why. She'll understand...

Pam - my most favorite favorite breakfast is from a local restaurant here and it's in a skillet. I has : one flour tortilla mashed black beans chorizo 2 over easy eggs cheese and everything is smothered in pork green chili. OMG, that is heaven on a plate. I can eat the whole thing except the tortilla. Kat - I know green chile is everywhere in New Mexico but here it's so hard to find. Very few restaurants have it and I like it on everything!

piehole report: B: cup of coffee with cream and sugar L: 1/2 cup of chicken salad and one dill pickle only about 6oz of water so far. I need to get on with my water...

oh no, i didn't think you were at all!! like i said, i just forgot to mention it here because it really wasn't a big deal. which actually is kinda funny because i consider even having a big poop a huge deal and worth mentioning to ya'll, LOL... and thanks for just loving me as i am, flaws and all...that's all i can trully ask for...

yep, he's back home. after we came back from my cousins wedding he just came home and stayed. I actually hadn't really noticed any difference because we were already spending most of our time together he just wasn't spending the night... Things haven't changed with me though. I'm still trying to do my own thing and still working on myself. It's really a true test of how things will be with us, as far as the argument resolution and being able to communicate well. So far so good. We started bickering last night and instead of tears and accusations we were able to just sort it out and figure out why we were feeling like we were feeling. HUGE step up from how we used to resolve things... and yes, holding a baby always makes me want one. But right now I'm not really in a position to have one. When I feel like I'm really truly happy with my life (or as happy and satisfied as one can be...) then I'll be able to committ myself to a baby. I know no one is ever ready ready for a baby and I shouldn't wait too long but right now I'm being a little selfish and just genuinely enjoying my life for once. Not wishing for things, you know? I spent my whole 20's doing that. Just wishing for things to be better, for me to be skinnier, for juan to change... wasted so much time wishing. For once I'm okay with just being...

Hi girls! Yesterday was a busy day for me... We hosted a baby shower for one of my co-workers. Her baby was actually due yesterday but he came two months early. He was a preemie but he's doing so well now. Piehole report was so bad yesterday. This is what I had: B: 2 bacon/egg tacos on corn tortillas S: One 8 oz iced coffee (not sugar nor fat free) L: One cup of crunchy slaw salad with chicken, one biscuit with butter and one slice of cake S: 4 mini twix bars D: two slices of roast beef with a lettuce leaf, rolled up I worked until around 10pm and when I got home Juan was having a bowl of cereal and he gave me his soggy leftovers. So I ate like a cow yesterday. I haven't had a thing in my mouth today so I plan on making it a good day... I'm a pack rat too! I keep everything because I never know when I'm gonna need it. At least that's what I tell myself...LOL... I'm planning on re-doing my baseboards on my house this weekend... We've already removed all of them and now I have to go get the new ones. Has anyone ever done this? Is this a pain to do? Should I just pay someone to do it?? Oh and here are some pics from the shower...

Kat - i may have missed it but why do you suffer so much from reflux? are you on any medication? do you think it might affect your band?? TracyK - I had 16 oz of water so far. I need to really get on it... Laura - Just looked at the skirt and it's gonna be too big for your skinny ass.... I'm gonna take a pic of it and whoever wants it just let me know. I got it at Target for 5 bucks and I would hate to return it... It's marked size 16W/18W.
