Laura - those are soooo cute! I've been looking and looking for a coffee table and a side table for my living room. I'm waiting for them to come up on craigslist. That's how I've furnished most of my current house. I'm gonna be patient and keep waiting. Hey, how do you embed your pictures in your message? I always have to attach mine and I don't like that.... I want it to be in the body of the message. Oh and my house stays dusty too. I dust once a week. Is that too few in between dustings? I remember when I was younger at my mom's house we would dust once a week and it was fine. Now I dust and just a few days later I see dust on my mantle, dust on my TV credenza... Yuck. I hate that...

WAY TO GO JANE!! Two pounds is awesome!! I have just committed to going to Juan's cousin's wedding on Dec 27th. I have the perfect dress for it but I need to lose like 5 lbs so it's not so snug. I AM OFF SWEETS until Christmas. There, I said it. I haven't seen his extended family since I was 300 lbs so I want to really WOW them. Laura - so sorry that you're having to go through the drama. I agree with all the ladies here and think that you should talk to Russell. I feel that once you marry then your partner becomes first before all others. Kat - have you started baking for Christmas already?? What are all the cookies for?? I LOVE baking cookies. They make the house smell so yummy.

Gross Laura, I HATE being cold... I'm so glad Juan likes the same temperature as me or else I don't know what I would do! My sisters hate the heater on and they jack down the thermostat even in the winter. That's why I can't ever spend the night with them. During this time we sleep with the heater on at about 74 and in the summer the house stays at a constant 79 or 80. I don't like being cold at all ever... we're getting ready to head out to a birthday lunch for one of my co-workers. I'm starving and she's late as always...

Good morning! Woke up and it was a little chilly this morning... Ice on my car, yuck... Got my tree up last night but Juan came home really late so we didn't get any of the lights up. Got my laundry sorted and ready to wash but didn't end up doing a single load. Both my sisters came over and we ended up just gabbing and watching shows on tv... I feel like I'm so behind! I've gotten just one Christmas present. ONE. I still have like 37 to go, LOL! I don't want to wait till the last minute like always! I've got tons to do every week and never seem to find the time... LUCKILY, i've got no weddings planned this month... Jenn - I had my gallbladder taken out because of the pain I was going through. It's a pretty painless procedure and I only needed a weekend to heal. Oh my living room is painted a warm apricot color. It's actually called Aztek brick. It's a huge living area with 12 foot ceilings and I needed a pretty warm color to make it cozy...

I usually never do either Suzie but it was a mad house last week. I was cooking and organizing on Wednesday night. Then all day Thursday I was at my mom's getting dinner together. Did I mention to ya'll that she fell off a ladder and broke her arm and twisted her knee last week? Well she did. She was organizing her closet. And so then me and my sisters took over the feast. So anyways, I was over there pretty early Thursday and we ate and socialized until around 10pm. Then my sisters and Juan's brothers all wanted to go out so we went out that night. Didn't come home till about 3am. Then the next morning we got up at 7am, packed for our trip, went and dropped off our dogs at the boarders and left for Mexico. Terry - our holiday party is this weekend and we're rushing around too getting final touches ready. We're only expecting 80 though! Pamela - GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK!! Judy - OMG the snow looks amazing. It really looks like a fairy tale. But I'm with TracyK. It's sunny and like in the 60's here right now. Wouldn't trade it for anything, LOL! I've just finished bribing my sister to come over and help me clean up and get my house together again. I have to make her a pot of chili though... So I better get busy with that!

HI HI HI Hope everyones Turkey day went great. Man, my four day weekend flew by in a blur. I ate way way too much on Thursday. Juan's family did four fried turkeys, they were amazing. And at my house I made two turkeys in the oven. One cajun flavored and one regular. They were both amazingly good. Much better than my mom's, if I say so myself. Pat on the back for me, LOL. We spent most of Thursday cooking and eating and then Friday morning we got up early and left for Mexico. Just got back right now. I just sat down to relax for a bit before I start unloading the car and start getting the house organized. I left it a holy mess and I hate returning to a messy house... I'm gonna catch up on posts and see what trouble ya'll have been up too...

Oh Terry, I can just imagine Hero's silky coat. When I was in my early twenties I used to babysit some girls and they had a big Irish Setter that thought he was a lap dog. He had the most beautiful long red hair. He was not allowed to sleep in the bed but every time I spent the night I would make a bed next to him in the livingroom floor and just cuddle with him all night. I love big dogs but I've never had one of my own. Mine are getting along in years and hopefully they live many many many more years but when they finally do go on to heaven I will seriously consider getting a big doggy. Today I'm going shopping for Thanksgiving too! Last night I went to my moms for dinner and I forgot for one minute to keep up with my "sick" facade and in that minute I was assigned to bring 4 different dishes. I am making a huge thing of green bean casserole. Some broccoli salad, Sucotash and a Pumpkin banana tart. TracyKS - I GOT MY MONKEY THIS MORNING! Well I actually got it yesterday but I thought it was my Secret Santa gift so I didn't open it. But then I started reading about everyone gettting something from you so I went out to my car and got the package and tore it open. Love the pic, too too cute! Love you, that was so thoughtful of you... I'm gonna drive my co-workers crazy with it today! TracyK - Yes two big celebrations and we shuttle back and forth for about half the day. This year his family is eating super early so we are starting at their house. Then off to my mom's at around 5. Then back to his house for dessert. Then back to my mom's to end the night... Whew! We'll do it like this as long as we can. I don't know how well this will work when we finally get around to having kids... Laura - You look so cute!! Not preggo at all... Are all the girls your age? And all pregnant or with babies?? We are seriously behind. Out of all my gang that I hung out with in high school and that we still hang out only one of us has kids. Out of seven of us. The rest of us are just lazy or selfish, LOL. Judy - Your house looks sooooo cute! I can't wait to get started on mine! It won't look as cute without the snow but still... Michelle - do you have your house decked out in Christmas stuff for Thanksgiving dinner or do ya'll do it afterwards?? When do you find the time!!! Kat - is it snowing by you yet? Do ya'll incorporate any green chile into your Thanksgiving dinner? I am obsessed with pork green chile. There is a place here that has the best i've ever tasted and I'm always wanting to go there for lunch to get some. I like it over everything! Pammy - It warms my heart that you are able to get up and get your stuff done and get on with your life. You are so so strong! Love you and always thinking of you... Jane - Do you have to help cook for Thursday or are you so spoiled that you merely show up, LOL! My middle sister is a spoiled brat! Since she doesn't know how to cook she just gets to show up! Suzie - Who all do you host at your house on Thursday, or are you lucky enough to get to go to another house, LOL! Okay girlies, I've written a novel... Didn't realize I was going on and on and on... I'm gonna get started on my list then head on out the door...

where has my day gone?? I look up and it's almost 2pm! Haven't sat down since I got up to supposedly get my oatmeal, that didn't happen... My stomach is seriously past hurting now. I'm gonna take off for lunch before someone else grabs me. I'll be back...

Oh my gosh, this sucks... I was typing out this huge post and then my eye wanders down to the bottom of the page and I see a thread that I hadn't seen before so I click it, not thinking and then when I hit the back page button my whole post is gone! gah! Okay, i'll start over. Gotta go get my oatmeal first though. my stomach are rumbling...

I know! It's soooo gorgeous out! The only comfort that I have is that I know that if I wasn't here I would definetly be in bed with my blinds and curtains shut. At least here in the office I have my blinds open and the sun is streaming in.
-
Pammy - I'm so sorry for your loss. Words cannot explain how very sorry I am for the pain this has caused you. Stay strong honey... Denise - you and your family are in my prayers. I will pray that everything goes just as well with this next pregnancy as with her first one. Stay strong Denise, we love you very much.... Tracyk - glad to have you back from your enchilada stupor... LOL Hi girls, I've been mia for a few days... First because I got horribly sick and then my mom fell off a ladder on Wednesday and broke her arm and twisted her knee. So we were at the hospital most of the night Wednesday and Thursday we took her to her and orthopetic specialist and she got a cast on her arm and she's getting physical therapy for her knee. What a crazy week... I'm still not over being sick. I just can't seem to get better. I haven't been diligent with my medicine because of everything that has been going on and now it seems like it's not even helping... I still have a runny nose, sneezing, itchy throat... Haven't been sleeping well. I'm just a complainer today... Just hear me whine... I'm here at the office today, trying to catch up on mounds of work... I'll be popping in and out...
-

He has both those thingys! He's a gadget freak.... Thanks for the tip though. And yes he loves camo anything. He has camo slippers, LOL... Just got off the phone with my sisters and there is this feet and calf massager at Sharper Image. It's 400 bucks so we're all gonna split it, me mom and sisters. We were in the mall last week and stopped there to take a break and our feet felt so good after sticking them in this thing for 5 min. It's almost like a boot and you stick your feet in all the way up to your knees, while you're sitting, and then it starts inflatting and then it massages your legs, calves, feet. So yum... I'm gonna go see if they have one in stock!
-
oh yes, I have a brookstone about 3 miles from me. I'm gonna go see what they have...
-
oooohhhh, that is such a good idea!! I might just steal it. The kids are always spending the night at each others houses now that they're a little bit older...
-
They were saying on the radio this morning that they did a survey and said that on average kids play with their Christmas toys only until the end of January then they are forgotten! I think this year I am getting my nieces and nephews a gift cards for the movies. They need no more 'stuff'....
-
Man, I am just chatty today! Anyhoo, today is my dad's birthday and like the procrastinator that I am I have left gift shopping till the last minute... I'm leaving work early and headed to the mall... Any ideas on what to get a man that has everything?? Ugh, he is so hard to shop for! He loves to read but buys every book he likes as soon as it's out. He loves to hunt and fish and golf but has every do-hickey imaginable. I feel like a dork getting him a gift card to somewhere. My sisters just gave up and one is getting him socks and the other one is getting him underwear, LOL. This is hard but does anyone had any ideas??

Oh okay, I keep forgetting to give my SS hints: Um, I love candles. Any scent but I especially like clean scents. Like linen or cotton scents. My sisters complain that I always smell like TIDE. Love it... I love love love the body cream from Bath and Body works. My favorite at the moment is Japanese Cherry blossom or anything soft like that... I love scarves. Any color, any lenght. I wear them all the time as accesories... I know, I'm a dork, I live in Houston for goodness sake. But I just like them... And food. And chocolate. And sugar. Any of that is very very good too. Homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, hint hint hint, in case the oatmeal raisin cookie queen is my secret santa...LOL And like Judy said, I won't turn away diamonds!!! ha ha ha....

Oh and I hear everyone saying that they've started decorating and shopping for Christmas already. WOW. I am so behind. Haven't even thought about Christmas yet. I have to get busy on that too. I am hosting one night of the POSADAS this year and I'm so excited. A posada is the traditional celebration of when Mary and Joseph went from house to house asking for lodging. It literally means "seeking shelter". We start on Dec 16th and each night until Dec. 24th, someone hosts Mary and Joseph at their house. Then on the 24th, at whoever's house hosting Christmas, we lay down the baby Jesus in the manger that we've built for him. It's a religious celebration, we sing songs and we pray. So much fun! And like I said, I am hosting one night so I gotta get started on getting my lights up and my tree up...

Morning girls! What a busy weekend it turned out to be! No matter how empty I tried to keep my schedule I still managed to fill it right back up and not get any rest. So we went out Friday night and came home pretty late. Well, I ended up waking up super early Saturday. Did some stuff around the house, then my sister called and asked me to meet her for breakfast. Then we went to the mall for awhile, then she wanted me to go grocery shopping with her. Then I came home and crashed and took a loooonnng nap and woke up like at 1:30am. So then I just started piddling around the house. Didn't go to sleep until 5am again. Woke up around 9am so we could go to breakfast and then to church. Then my mom called and asked if we wanted to go to a BBQ that a friend of hers was having. Fine, so we went to the store so I could buy stuff to make a brocoli salad. I don't like arriving empty handed... Then my sister called and said that one of her friends got sick and couldn't go to the MADONNA concert and would I like her ticket. HECK YEAH! So we went to the BBQ for awhile then I ran home to throw on something decent to wear and we take off... SHE STARTED TWO HOURS LATE. OMG, we sat there and sat there. She finally started, it was an awesome concert. Ended at 11:30 and finally made it home around 1:30am. Was worth it though! My diabetic dog has been whining for water at odd hours of the night. I need to go get her glucose level monitored again. We might have to increase her insulin level. off to get my coffeeeeeee....

Dang, I think your hair always looks so good! Yes, I've got another bridezilla lined up for March. Not looking forward to it. She's an older lady and she is super super meticulous and such a nit picker... Ugh!!! She's driving me craaaazzzyyy.... Just woke up from a nap. I was like you today Terry, busy all day but not sure what all I accomplished... I woke up early even though I said I was gonna sleep in. We got home so late last night but for some reason I couldn't stay asleep. We had a birthday dinner for one of my friends last night. Good food, good company and we just lost track of time... Pammy, hope you feel better... Suzie, I loooovvvvee oatmeal raisin cookies. Please send me your recipe... Judy - hope you had fun shopping today! I love shopping with my mom. Jane - thanks for sharing! what brought that on? Glad your tummy feels better! Okay girlies, gonna go check my email and get some towels folded. I seriously feel like it's 6pm in the afternoon. My schedule is gonna be all out of whack tomorrow!

TracyK - so cute!! love it... Okay girls, I feel like I'm gonna keel over. I need to go home and take a little nap and then start getting ready for another shin-ding tonight... They said it's gonna get cold so I'm gonna dress warm... Have a great rest of your day and a wonderful weekend!! I plan on sleeping late tomorrow, then going antiquing with Juan's mom then vegging out on the couch. Sunday all we have planned is church, whoopeeeee!! A free weekend!! Okay, take care everyone, love ya'll...
