The appeal that I had to Sean Connery was lost after SNL started spoofing him. I forgot the actor that does him and then another guy does Alec Trebek and they do this skit. Now everytime I see Sean Connery all I think about is that SNL skit...LOL Laura - I can't believe the nerve of those people to stiff ya'll for so long! I would be charging them late fees and interest...

oh yum. That pizza on that bread looked so good. I'm starving! I'm gonna go at lunch time and see if they carry it at Kroger so I can have it with my turkey and cheese that I brought. Judy - thanks for that. Me and Juan are opposites too and the thing that we eventually learned is that you have to respect your partners differences! We would always clash about that but now we embrace it!

tracy - how do you make chips out of bread? Do you have to bake them with oil or anything? Judy - that sucks about your pool. I can't believe how many problems you've had with it this summer. Hopefully once it gets fixed in the next few days you can enjoy it for the rest of your summer... Janey - ok, no cooking for me. But my mom can make it! Suzie - thanks for your comment about the FOCCUS yesterday. It made me feel alot better. I spoke to Juan about it last night and he said that we would just take it and discuss it afterwards, no worries about whether or not we "do good". I am craving a sandwich so bad this morning, LOL. Last night we went to juan's mom's house to eat dinner. She made soft tacos and I was starving so I took a huge first bite and then got stuck. I couldn't get anything down the rest of the night. So I woke up this morning thinking about food...LOL. It's supposed to get hot hot hot here again... I'm so ready for October...

I think I need to get some color done in my hair but for now I'm just gonna leave it alone. The gray is really bad but you can't see it because my curly hair covers it up... My sister erika keeps putting purple chunky highlights in her hair. But they turn green each time she gets in the pool so then she dyes it again each time, LOL.

Hi trace, we haven't set an actual date yet but are hoping for May 15th. We won't set a final date until we get through all the classes and counseling that the church has you go through to see if you're ready. Once we complete all those then we are able to talk to them about what dates are available and then we will be able to set a definite date. So as soon as I know I will tell ya'll and we will begin the countdown and we can start coordinating the logistics...

Pamela - what did you guys eat? Anything that was amazing? How did ya'll get around other than walking? Did ya'll rent a car?

yep! He will never be 100% ready, and neither am I for that matter but he definetly wants to start trying next year.

jane - remind me and i can do one! they are so yummy! pam - the pics are amazing! how did you hold up with all the walking and the weather?? I would love love love to go to Italy one day. I think next year is Greece and after that is babies but one day, LOL.

OH my gawd yes! Everyone of ya'll that is coming down is coming to all things...It's gonna be a three day party. Friday is rehearsal dinner, Sat is that little party I've been talking about and then Sunday is the pool party at my parent's house. Plan on those three events. Get plenty of rest before you come!!

Everyone will love my dad. He is silly and lots of fun. And he's an awesome host. My mom is quiet and shy. Kinda like me...:thumbup: Not this weekend but next weekend there is a big bridal expo here in houston and we are gonna go so I can get some ideas for invites and cakes. Next week we are going to go take our FOCUS test at the church. It's kinda like a compatability test... We took it last time around and failed it miserably. I don't know why I'm so worried about it but I just am. I keep going over stuff with Juan almost like quizzing him. To make sure we are on the same page about family and values, LOL. He's like, why are you asking me all this stuff, you know me? I just want to make sure, LOL. Today is already Wednesday. Happy Hump Day! I'm so ready for the weekend. I think this weekend we are going to take a road trip to the Austin area. It's been so hot we are wanting to go and get into a nice freezing cold creek. My guest list is up to 212 :thumbup:. I'm going to sit down with my parents and his mom and review it to make sure we got everyone...

oh suzie. so sorry to dissapoint you about all the authentic mexican food... I'm gonna have normal white people food at the wedding, lol. Authentic mexican takes a long time to prepare and cook and usually messy to serve. Oh but you know what, the next day we have what is called a torna-boda. I don't know how that translates into English but the next day close family and friends gather at the bride's family home and have another party. And that's where we will have some authentic mexican food... My dad will roast a pig over a pit. He's excited about that part, LOL...

I hope everyone will be WOWed! I really want it to be special and fun and all I want is for everyone to have a great time. For me? All I want is to start making bebe's. that's the sole reason for this whole shebang... LOL

Laura - that was the cutest thing. I loved it! Kat - no. no weddings on either side of the families. So everyone is READY for this wedding and everyone has opinions about everything. We are both the eldest children on both sides of the family. There is plenty of space for a tent but Juan's mom is planning on constructing this huge open air space with ceilings and floors and pillars. We are planning on setting it up in there or under the huge beautiful oak trees...

89 is absolutely glorious when you're used to 100+ degree weather and 100% humidity, LOL... The high of 89 is during the hottest part of the day though. My church ceremony will be scheduled around 4 and then the reception will start at 6, so by then the temp will be in the 70's... The more I talk about it the more I'm liking the scenario. Now to run it by my sisters, who are the toughest critics of this whole outdoor idea...

I agree. Judy will decide what we all wear, she has the best taste! How's everyone today?? I'm doing better today. Juan took me to Dairy Queen last night, big no no. We talked at length about the pro's and con's of the two venues. The only thing that keeps pushing me to have it at his mom's house is the fact that I don't want to spend $30k on this wedding... We will make our final decision tonight. The good news is that I did a 10 year history on the weather for my area during that day and the day before and the day after and it looks like the average high is 89 and the average low is 64. It only rained one day out of those three days over ten years. And the rain was negligible (sp?). So that's a huge plus for me. It'll be nice and cool and hopefully no rain... Like Tracy said, it's hot hot hot over here. My A/C in my car has been malfunctioning for about a month now. It only shoots out cold air when the car is going fast. Juan said it was the air compressor and that those are thousand's of dollars to replace so I've just been sucking it up and sweating in the car. I figured that I could live with it like that for awhile since I didn't want to spend the money on it. Well, this weekend was so hot and I was dying while doing my errands. So I finally caved in and took it to the dealership for a diagnose and an estime. Turns out that when I purchased the car I also purchased the top of the line extended warranty with it. All those type of repairs are covered! I've been suffering for nothing. My deductible is 100 dollars! I'm dropping it off today so I can get it fixed! yay yay yay...

oh and thank you for that lovely visual of me in a mini with a crop top and that elastic cutting off my circulation to my lower leg. I will look just like a trussed up turkey which juan will love because turkey is his favorite!

How was everyones weekend?? Mine was ok. I started my period so this weekend I was just super sensitive and very weepy. Juan's little brother's birthday party was yesterday and his mom had it outside at her property. It was extremely hot and we were suffocating. And my middle sister made a joke about how if we had my wedding there outside and it was hot then she would leave. It was a joke of course but like I said, I've been a little weepy and that just pushed me over the edge. I started bawling and blubbering about how I feel like they are not being supportive. We are so torn and comflicted about where to have it and we are not closer to making a decision. The pros and cons of having it at the country club versus juan's mom's house: Juan's mom house pros is that it's free and it's a beautiful place and it's free. Cons is that it's outside. We would have to find all the vendors ourselves and run the whole thing ourselves. Set up, breakdown, everything. Another con is that we have parties there almost every other weekend. When we have parties we break out the linens, the tablecloths, chair covers, the whole two yards. Juan feels like it would feel like every party we have, not like a wedding. Country club pros is that it's a gorgeous location. The whole club to ourselves. Fully staffed and they would take care of everything. The only con is the price. I went into this saying that I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money but now as I am getting into it and getting excited about everything I really want something elegant and beautiful. The type of dress that I love would not be condusive to an outdoor wedding. I want something beautiful and elegant and ballroom type. And I'm blubbering again and sorry to keep going on and on about such pettyness... Just venting and trying to sort my own thoughts via this outlet... Just bear with me, LOL... Ugh. Ok. We have one more venue to see tonight. This one is also beautiful and elegant and inside and we will see about the price...

Jenn - I am so sorry for everything that you're going through. I went through a dark period in my life and the thing that saved me was first putting my problems into the hands of the Lord and second giving my time and effort into those less fortunate than me. Once I started getting involved I was able to stand back and take a clear look at my life and realize that my problems were very very insignificant compared to what some people were going through. It's impossible to do that when you're in the middle of your turmoil. What I felt at the time, and what I think you feel, is a sense of worthlessness. I had no self esteem. Giving myself to others made me feel good that I could contribute and it brought me a sense of accomplishement and self worth. You need to find that for yourself... Also I've never ever been one to be preachy or to try to push my religion on others but if you believe in God please please put your trust in him. Get involved in your church and see if it brings you peace. I know it did for me...

hi girls... omgawd it's so freaking hot here. I went out during lunch to run an errand and I about keeled over while walking from the parking lot into the building. I'm gonna see if I can finish my work real quick so I can get out of here at around 3 and go and get in the pool. The pool water is probably warm like bath water though. Judy - your dinner sounds delish! I got a three bean and ham soup in my crock pot but we're definetly not eating hot soup tonight. I'll put it away for another day... I'll probably ask Juan to take me out somewhere instead. Your pork chops sound yum! Michelle - love love love your hair! It looks slightly different than before but it frames your face gorgeously. I would keep doing that cut! Suzie - that was a cute story about the treadmill guy! Made me smile and remember something from a few days ago. Me and Juan were headed to his mom's house in the afternoon and we saw a lady running down the street. Juan mentioned that she was running kinda funny, almost lopsided. But I told him, at least she's moving her ass! Not like us pork dumplings just sitting on the couch, LOL. i'm gonna get back to work now so I can hurry up and finish. All the big bosses are gone gone gone and I told my boss that I might leave early if I finish and he said sure. Everyone have a good weekend!
