Hi girls! I hope everyone is doing well... Heather - oh, I bet Ayla is so darn cute! Have you posted more updated pics on FB yet? Michelle - sorry for your troubles. Wish I could help but I'm the last person to be giving out relationship advice. The only thing I can say is that if he doesn't want to try counseling then maybe you can go by yourself? That way when he sees that you're making an effort he will want to do the same? Pamela - sending hugs your way. I hope you get through this weekend ok and know that you are so loved! Laura - how did you dad do in Tunica? Did Carson miss you?? I love that video you posted of him on FB. You're gonna have to come see me for a weekend so I can pinch his chubby cheeks! Kat - your new grandbaby is adorable! How's Connor doing now? Did he get better as far as his fussing? Everything is good with me. Juan's brother is home from Cornell for a few days so we took advantage and went to the river for the weekend. He is leaving on Wednesday again. We haven't seen him much since he started his doctorate degree. He's always working... I've been busy at the house too. We installed new baseboards so my house is kinda upside down right now... I really really want wood floors in my bedroom but that will have to wait for another couple of months... We are doing good so far with the weddind budget. We are paying everything in full as it comes up so that we are not stuck with big balances next year. We booked the videographer, the photographer, the makeup/hair person. I'm actually kinda scared because they haven't given me a concrete YES on the date at church. I still have to meet with the priest but I can't set up a meeting with him until the counselor sends in a letter outlining her recomendations of what we need to work on. I called her yesterday and she said she would do that next week. UGH. So once she finally gets around to sending that letter I then need to SCHEDULE and appt with the priest. Who knows how long that's gonna take... So as you can see, I'm just a little bit worried that when I finally do get around to booking my date that it's already gonna be taken up. I will be so sad! ok, sorry for the novel... i'll be back!

oh yes, sorry Judy. I didn't mean EVERYONE... The majority. There's been pros and cons for each... They are both beautiful that's why we were having such a hard time. Our eyes were crossed because we had been looking at pictures for hours! That's why we asked for everyones opinions...

Michelle - well, I liked Hazel West and Juan liked Old World Studios. And we were stuck on who to choose. And that's why I told him we would have friends and family view both sites and we could go with majority. So far everyone has picked Hazel West, lol. Juan's mom had lazik surgery today so we are going to go over there to visit her for awhile. I'm gonna try to get in some pool time while we are there. It's blistering hot here in houston. The news said it felt like 109 outside....

Ugh, I'm in avoidance mode today too. I've got tons of purchase orders to sort through and match up to their invoices. Gross... I've been looking at wedding ideas all morning... I'm seriously worried about my date being booked at church. They won't let me book until we go through the counseling session and then a session with the priest. So each day I'm calling the church to make sure they haven't booked my day. Oh and my body seriously likes 247. I've been at this exact weight for more months than I care to count. I'll lose a few or gain a few but always come back within a week. Boo... :tongue2:

I also skipped breakfast today but I'm being good and only having coffee for now... Judy - you know, I bitch and complain about how hot it is here but I'm so thankful that it's not 52 in August. That sucks! 52 is considered frigid winter here... Okay, we sat down last night and went through all the photographers and narrowed it down to the two we liked the best. Thanks for the west coast update Pamela Thanks for the midwest update Suzanne Thanks for the northeast update Jenn Now for the southcentral update... LOL Not much going on here. We missed our first counseling session with the marriage counselor last night because Juan forgot about it.... WHA?? One of our biggest fights used to be about me nagging him and reminding him about stuff ALL THE TIME. I don't do that anymore and so far he's been good about keeping up with stuff. Well yesterday morning I reminded him that we had an appt at 6:30 pm at church. He said he would be home at 6 then. I am sitting at home waiting and waiting and finally at 6:25 I called him to ask him where he was at and he told me he was still working... I got so upset! I just felt all those old feelings rushing back in of him purposely not wanting to go through with things... Well the good thing is that he rushed home, apologized profusely and kicked himself in the ass for forgetting, LOL. He assured me that it wasn't like before and he told me that I shouldn't have those bad feelings because it's nothing like before. That made me feel better... I'm just emotional because i'm starting at the end of the week... Terry - thanks for the recomendation on the photographer. Your friend takes awesome pictures! I'm gonna show his site to Juan to see what he says... Pamela - HG has a website with awesome recipes. I've never made a single one though, LOL. But they all look good and healthy! Let me know how those bars turn out. Judy - pasties sound so good. I like all those type of savory pastry pockets. Jamaicans have a beef patty that is spicy ground beef inside a pasty pocket. YUM, love those. I didn't even bother weighing myself this past week. I've got actual excersise time planned this week though. That's a first, LOL! I gotta get my water now. I've been doing so good with at least that!

ohhh laura, carson looks so cute in that granbee pic. I hope he gets to keep those gorgeous blue eyes... My baby fever is escalating too! At first we were saying that we would start trying in August of next year. That way we are fully recovered from the wedding and have built some of our savings back up. Now we are saying the heck with it! We are hoping to get preggo on our honeymoon, LOL. Wouldn't it be wonderful if it happened on our first try?? I can only pray! This weekend I booked my videoagrapher. First major wedding purchase! I found the guy at the wedding show we went to last weekend and showed Juan a DVD of his work. He loved it so I arranged an appointment. We went Sunday and what normally would have been an hour appointment turned into a two hour geek fest. They couldn't stop talking about all the equiment and the different TV's and all the different software. Pure geek... I was content to sit and watch wedding videos while they went on and on, LOL. My next major booking will be a photographer. I'm so overwhelmed with all the choices! I don't know how to pick! I'm mostly going off referrals... Terry - who was the photog for Richard's daughter's wedding? Did you like the pics? Thanks for all the book recomendations girls. I've added them to my book list. I had run out of books to read so I was re-reading "Good News about Sex and Marriage", LOL. It's on my nightstand and I go through it every once in awhile...

Judy - I love rosie too! I never thought to look for her blog... I also love kathy griffin... The kindle was on sale on amazon.com for $200. Is that a good price?? OH and Dillards (a dept store here in houston) is having lots of sales right now... They have online stores too (dillards.com)... I went yesterday and bought 3 pairs of sandals, and 2 pairs of high heels for 60 bucks! OH and my best purchase was a leather Cole Haan bag that was regular price $398 and I got it for $71. I've had my eye on it for awhile...

Michelle - oh my gosh I can't believe you tried the vinegar trick. I never actually tried it. I left the vinegar out on my kitchen island and each time (for about a week) that I wanted something sweet the thought of actually swishing with vinegar made my stomach turn. But then I just put it away one day and forgot about it... Terry - that thing you found about people with that gene liking sweets and hating alcohol, that's me. I never ever drank until I was in my late 20's because alcohol was so bitter and gross to me. Now at this age I still won't drink beer. Hate the taste. I will drink alcohol only if it's masked with fruity sweet things. Red wine is bitter and gross and I will drink a very light white wine once in a blue moon. I hate brocoli, asparagus, lots of other veggies as a child. They were so bitter to me...

Suzanne - thinking good thoughts for a good outcome to your problem! That sucks that you have a leak but I think that's easily fixable... Pammy! I wish I could see you with the maxi pad on, LOL. Sending you get well vibes! Terry - WOW on the no chocolate! That's freaking awesome... Judy - 75 sounds simply divine... Did you hear that Seattle got up to like 108 yesterday?? Last night at 9pm it was still 103. I wonder what people did? I know A/C is not standard up there. People must be miserable... Jenn - that sucks about your pie! One time I made 100 little bitty fruit tarts. Took me hours to do them... Well I had them all laid out on those large cookie trays and I had stacked them up and I asked Juan to take them out to the car and he tripped on something while walking across the lawn and my fruit tarts went flying everywhere! I wanted to cry! Kat - my bat wings bother me to no end. Even when I work out my arms I feel like it doesn't do anything... But oh well... I'm stuck with them, lol. I had a wonderful dinner last night with an old friend from this board. She's doing awesome but is wanting to get back into the routine of water and excersice that we are all struggling with. It's not hard but I don't know why I can't get a routine going... AGAIN, I'm gonna start writing down what goes in my mouth. Sigh... I want to be normal sized for my wedding...

YUM, that looks so good. Do you make alot of Hungry girl's recipes? I get her daily email but have never actually tried to make any of her stuff. I don't like artificial sweeteners so that's why I mostly stay away but this one has REAL ingrediets too along with some sugar free stuff...

Jenn - a safe word would work but I would use it all the time, LOL. Like if we went out to dinner and I wanted to get something bad and our safe word would be "pelican" I'd be "pelican pelican pelican", ha ha ha... I'm bad and I would end up using it all the time. I need to just be mature about this and appreciate his help...

Hi Heather! As you can see we are all trying to get back on the band wagon so you can join right along with us. We can all help each other. Heck, just you saying that you have to pack up your child to take her with you to the gym shames me into going! That was such a eye opening statement for me. There is women out there that have to deal with the kids and the this and the that and all I have to do is get up off my ass and get to the gym and I don't. Good morning Violets! Jane - we love you so much and I ditto what Jenn said, I wish you were closer so we could spend more time together... Jenn would fix your house stuff and I would watch you try to mess with your computer, LOL. I would suck at fixing stuff but I could watch really good! Judy - speaking of spinning rings, I hate when my ring spins! I can't geet it sized down because when I am swollen it's tight but that's only half the time.... And speaking of rings I almost got into an accident yesterday because I was staring at my ring, LOL. I was on the freeway stuck in traffic and I had my left hand on the top of my steering wheel. And the sun hit it and made it twinkle into so many colors that I was just mesmerized, LOL. I looked up and the car in front of me was stopped and I had to slam my breaks. I had only been going like 5 miles an hour but still, I would have caused a dent in his little car... No more driving with my left hand... We went to dinner at my parents house last night and my sister made the most amazing crab cakes and remoulade sauce. It was so YUM. Tonight I'm having her over for dinner and I am stuck on what to make. Maybe soup? Nah, it's too hot. I'll think of something yummy. Then tomorrow I am having dinner with a friend who is also getting married soon so we are gonna be talking wedding stuff! And then Thursday we've got an employee appreciation dinner at my mom's company and then Friday dinner at Juan's mom's house. My week is super busy this week... Water water water today... But first one cup of coffee!
