I know the struggle all so well. I was sleeved on August 15, 2012 n weighed 304 lbs, the lowest I went was 186 and now I'm back at like 195. My goal is 145 and I'm not even close. It is so mental but I'm glad to hear that I can go back to basics, the sliders are the worst. I can eat more then before n I don't like that at all but protein is still hard to digest which means my sleeve is still working. If only I stay fully away from carbs.... Keep the fight going..

I smoked until a few days before. I kept it honest with them, their main concern is that smoking brings a higher risk of ulcers post op. unfortunately 7 months out n I still smoke but fortunately I haven't had complications. Good luck

Checking my progress, need opinions
griega232 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So march 17 I made 7 months out. The day of surgery I was 304 lbs and now I am 220 lbs. I've lost 84 lbs in 7 months and feel great however due to my height, I'm still way overweight and others who have lost more or are taller, it shows much more. My insecurities are kicking in, I've been losing weight a lot slower now and I'm nervous. I'm happy that I didn't reach goal this fast because it wouldn't be healthy but I'm also concerned about losing much slower. Any August sleevers or others who are in the same boat??? All suggestions are welcomed(: -

You are awesome, good for you for forgiving him and understanding his addiction. Congrats on your journey, I'll be six months out on 2/15 and down 72 lbs, not doing as well as I could be but that's because I let my addiction to food sometimes over power me!!! It does get easier, congrats again!!!!

I was sleeved on 8/15 and weighed 304 now I'm at 232, I need like 75 more pounds to go but I'm very short, 5'2!!!! You must be tall because you do not look like you weigh 231.... Congrats (: -

I confess: 1. That I hardly excercise 2. I do not schedule my food correctly so I'm usually hungry because I'm not eating often 3. I count calories but don't always mind what I eat (although I make sure it had protein) 4. I drink 2 cups of coffee a day n two alcoholic beverages a week 5. I never thought this would be so hard, 5 months out and I still haven't taught myself all the rules.... I feel like a failure and its depressing however I've lost over 70 lbs and its still working but I know in my heart, I can do much better if I got more serious... And yes I agree with others who feel some fellow sleevers can be very judgmental and forget they were fat once too with poor habits... -

Thanksgiving Day Challenge
griega232 replied to AKSleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So my update is as follows: Pre op 304 lbs Operation 8/15 Challenge started 10/30 weighed 255.7 Goal for today was 240lbs Weigh in 11/23 247.3 lbs So I didn't reach my goal but I set it too high (15.7 lbs) in 3 weeks. I'm proud of where I am so ill make my Xmas goal at 230lbs and see how that goes. The higher the goal, the harder I have to work. Every pound I lose is a blessing!!! You guys all rocked. Don't be stressed if u didn't make goal, you changed your life forever and will eventually make your life goal (: -
