I had this problem for years. the summer eve wipes work GREAT! I also would go with a blow dryer on cool setting. After washing. I also used hydrogen peroxide to clean the whole vaginal area. I religiously use panty liners too. All powders seemed to make it worse for me.When I had a boil I did go to the gyn to have it taken care of. I live in Phx AZ, so overweight and swamp crotch are not a good combo! After loosing the first 30lbs I have no more issue though. I still keep the summers eve for these ridiculously hot days. Monistat also makes a product called cool wipes, which I actually prefer because they also disinfect, but they are hard to find. I wear loose comfy pants and cotton panties for work to help also. Overall I think washing with peroxide and keeping extra dry along with a pantyliner worked best for me.

Most Humiliating Fat Moment
susanfaye replied to peacequeen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My daughter has a chromosome deletion called Ring 21. She is one of about 65 known cases in the world. We don't know what DNA was dleted, so we don't know what to expect. We just take it as it comes. She was a major motivating factor in deciding to have surgery. What happens if I can't care for her? She is such a sweet girl and I am proud she calls me Mommy! -

When my son was two I was weeling him in a shopping cart at the store. He reached up and grabbed my under arm and yelled loudly "aw FAT mommy!" People stopped to stare. I was mortified to the point of tears.. -
I read a couple different posts on that. I think one this is it causes air/gas the second is it is supposed to be dangerous to swallow in your sleeve

Milk of magnesia worked really well. I agree don't go anywhere that day though. It was painless and no cramps.

I found the cambells cream of chicken and herb soup settled nicely even when everything else was like lead. It has a salty tang from the herbs so maybe that may help with the salt cravings? I did have to blend it first to smooth any chicken chunks. But it is very good.

My surgeon says wait two weeks for swimming because of the incisions. Everything else they say is up to how you feel individually. I would say listen to your body when it says enough is enough or too much. I was also sleeved on aug 6th and I have been walking. In another week I will be playing basketball again. Just waiting more the main incision to heal a little more first.

Surgery Was Yesterday Aug 6
susanfaye replied to DEZ1975's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery was also aug 6th. The only thing I seem to be able to comfortably tolerate is hot tea and cream Soup. A little greek yogurt, but that makes the gas worse. My surgeon told me to take milk of magnesia, which I just did. Waiting on the results to see if it helps at all. Water isn't my friend, but I drink it anyway. I also just. Bought some almond milk to give it a whirl. Good luck to you! -

I had surgery Monday too. The first few days home were rough, but manageble. I havnt been able to tolerate too much more the Clear liquids. Today I did manage some pudding and a little Protein. I just keep the goal line in sight when I feel bad. It does hurt to drink so I just take tiny sips as often as I can. It is a process to go through, but I know I will come out better and stronger in the long run!

4 Days Post Op And Still Cannot Lay On My Side. :(
susanfaye replied to Prissy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My NUT came and saw in the hospital and gave me my"bean" it is a life saver! Just a jelly bean shaped pillow i put under my side when sleeping. It allows me to sleep on my side instead of my back. It has a little handle so I carry it with me like a purse. I use it to apply pressure to my main insicision so I can move more easily too.
